Light or Dark?

It Is Written, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, but even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4) whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine on them.
The god of this age is satan, and his followers are many.  Look anywhere in the world, and you will see his influence.  Countless people living in darkness because of satan, and an almost violent obsession with their hate for Jesus.  When there is a catastrophe, the same people ask "how could God allow this"?
Whenever anything good happens, they call it luck, or they take credit for it themselves.  When something bad happens however, these people are silly enough to blame a God they either don't believe in, or do not want to be associated with.
satan is leading countless millions to an eternity in hell, and his followers seem dedicated to him anyway.  He is never blamed for anything.
Jesus on the other hand, is the most hated person that ever was.  Society keeps trying to eliminate Him from everything.  They are trying to convince everyone that Jesus never was more than an ordinary man at best.
To a believer, Jesus represents love, forgiveness, kindness, patience, and every other good thing, just as the Word says.  He is the light, and satan represents darkness.  Darkness cannot overcome light.
It is probably a fact that those who live in darkness hate the light, because the light exposes who they are, and what they do.
If you are not totally in the light yet, just ask Jesus, He is waiting for you. He doesn't care how dark your past was.  Have a blessed day.

What Is Important to God

It Is Written, Psalm 145:3, great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
What is important to God?  You are.  He created you in His image, and made eternal life possible.  When sin came into the world and threatened to send you to the other place for eternity, God sent His only Son on a mission to save you.
God knew before time, what would happen, so He planned for everything. He knew every single thing that would happen to you.  His plan was for every good thing for you.
Just as a good parent allows a child to decide what they would do in life, God gave us a free will.  Just as we train a child and expect the best,  God does too.  Just as you see your child making mistakes, God sees us making mistakes.  Just as you try to guide your child, God is trying to guide all of us through His Word.  He wants all of us to spend eternity with Him.
Most people go by what the world teaches.  Most of it is against what is important to God.  People would rather have what is important to them. They interpret the Bible to fit their lifestyle, because their lifestyle is important to them.  They do not want anyone to tell them how to live.  The thing is, you can't ignore the truth of God's Word anymore than you can ignore gravity.
What matters in life is simple.  What matters to God is what counts.  What is important to you doesn't matter, unless it lines up with the Word.  Saying God, heaven, hell, do not exist, does not make it so.  Once you die, you don't get a chance to change your mind.  God forgives, as long as you are breathing.  Maybe it's time to think about what is important to you.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

Rebuking satan

It Is Written Mark 16:17, and these signs will follow those who believe:  in My Name they will cast out demons;  they will speak with new tongues.
It Is Written, James 4:7, therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
I don't think it is a surprise to anyone that satan is in the habit of attacking believers.  Many believers practically panic when they think that satan is attacking them.  Many of these people scream and holler at the devil because they think that is what works.  Have you ever seen a mother who constantly screamed at unruly children?  They ignore her.  See any similarity?
Don't get into a conversation with satan.  You can't possibly win because he has thousands of years of experience.  Don't ask him his name or anything else.
If you feel that satan is on you so much, that you must rebuke him every couple of minutes, you probably didn't cast him out in the first place.  More than likely he never left.
Look to Jesus.  Jesus had a pure heart, He had no unforgiveness, He loved everyone.  When He talked at demons, He usually used only a couple of words, in a normal tone of voice.  He spoke with authority because He knew who He was, so they feared Him.
Jesus gave us the great commission, which included casting out demons in His Name.  He expects us to carry out that command.  The first thing you must do is believe that that command applies to you, and you have authority through Jesus name.
If you try to cast out a demon and you have unforgiveness in your heart it won't work.  You need the same kind of pure heart, with faith and love that Jesus had in order to succeed.  If you have fear or doubt of any kind, he will probably laugh.
Over the years I have heard preachers, have read some books, and found out from personal experience, that the best way to get rid of satan is, when you notice he is around,  pick up your Bible and start reading Scripture.  It would be a good idea to have a handy list of Scriptures just for that occasion.  Don't just read the words, but believe in your heart, in Jesus name, to speak with authority and rebuke the devil.
If you do this faithfully, you will get to the point, that when satan shows up, you just ignore him without even thinking about it.  Remember he can't do anything unless you allow him to.  Just to show you what I am talking about, just read the Bible, and you will see that satan loses, and we win. Have a blessed day.

What Would Jesus Do ?

It Is Written, Hebrews 2:18, for in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
I think it is pretty safe to say, that the majority of people have heard this expression at least once.  It probably started out as something said in jest, because it certainly has been used that way.
When someone offends us, cheats us, lies about us, etc.  We may well ask what would Jesus do?  He showed us what He would do during His life and crucifixion.  He said "Father forgive them, they know not what they do" as right, He still loved them and forgave them.  At the time, He was an ordinary man.
If we start asking what would Jesus do, as a guide, we will please our Father.  The Word tells us what to do in any situation.  If you don't know the Word well enough, or don't have time to check it out, do what Jesus did.  Love them anyway, and forgive them.  It covers all situations, including the ones where it is very hard to do.
As a reminder to all of us.  We are not to judge His creation, we are to love and forgive.  After all, the Creator loves us and forgives us every day, no matter how much we offend Him.
This phrase about what Jesus would do, does not work very well with frivolous things.  It is however a great thing to remember as a guide to Christian lifestyle the way it should be.  Have a blessed day.

Take It To The Lord 1

It Is Written, Proverbs 5:21, for the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.
One of the hardest things for man to do, is to trust someone else.  It is not always about being afraid someone will mess up, but one of comfort.
Let me explain.  When you go somewhere in a car with someone else;  do you feel better if you are driving?  Do you pay someone to do a job around your house and get frustrated because you feel you would have had better results?
There are times you are forced to trust someone else, as in a trip by plane. You must let the pilot fly the plane, because you don't know how.  He is trained, and is able to deal with unforeseen problems.
Now to the point.  The average person makes thousands of decisions or choices in a lifetime.  Think about that for a minute.  There are decisions about easy things that are pretty safe, like what clothes to wear.
Many decisions that affect our future as well as our present, are much tougher.  Whether to marry or not, what career to pursue, a business or going to school.  Buy a house or not, where, how to raise the kids, and it goes on.
Most people, including myself, didn't really worry too much.  We were making seat of the pants decisions.  We didn't realize how many things affected the outcome.  Other people, the economy, and 100 other stumbling blocks we couldn't see or anticipate.  They say hindsight is a great teacher.  How many times have you said, or heard someone else say, "if I knew then what I know now".  We can't go back and that's for sure.
What if I told you about an amazing way to live, so that  20 years from now, you won't make that statement because you did it right?
I learned the hard way that the key to success in anything, is to take it to God first, and wait for an answer.  He sees all, and can avoid problems, and see who will do what and when, and how it all fits together.  He makes things happen.  Ask in faith, and He will guide you.  Sometimes something may just happen for your good.  That was not luck or a coincidence, or even a knowing in your heart.  If it is covered in the Word, you won't have any doubt.  Read Proverbs 3:5-6.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

satan Uses Us Against Us

It Is Written, James 1:5-8, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  6) but let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  7) for let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8) he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
A common problem that many believers have, is when prayers seem to go unanswered.  Doubt comes in, and takes over.  Many Christians have a hard time believing, because satan plants the doubt, and a believer accepts it as fact.
There are many reasons for unanswered prayer.  Doubt, fear, knowing God can, but will He?  Worry is also a big problem.
Let's use supernatural healing as an example.  Suppose a pastor lays hands on you to heal a problem in a leg.  When he lays hands on you and prays it is up to you to believe that you are healed.  When you do, that healing is set in motion in the spirit world and you receive it because by Jesus stripes you were healed.
The healed person must continue to believe, even if the pain doesn't leave immediately.  Sometimes it takes a while, and discouragement shows its head.  satan is right there to tell you that you aren't healed, and besides that you don't deserve to be.  At this point you must stand on the Word.
When you are getting up from a chair, anticipate strong healthy legs, not painful ones.  Always remember that the Holy Spirit is working and it will come to pass.  It's just a question of receiving what Jesus has already done. The sad part is many people give up just before they get the answer.
If you follow what the Word says, and do not doubt, but trust in the Lord, no matter what, you will receive what you ask.  Faith love and trust in God are the keys for everything, no matter how impossible it may look.  If you are a believer and it is in the Word, you will receive.  You must remember, God cannot lie, and satan cannot tell the truth.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!

satan= LOSER

It Is Written, James 4:7, therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
It is written, 1 John 4:4, you are of God, little children, and have overcome them ( evil spirits ) because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
As we all know by now, all of us are spirits, created in God's image.  We walk around in a body just as Jesus did.  That fact in itself causes many problems.
satan knows that his only chance to get to us is through the body.  The body is morally weak by nature, and wants only pleasure of one sort or another.  The body is controlled by a brain that tries to pamper it.  The spirit however is the opposite.  It wants God, and to do the right thing. There is the problem.
The brain wants to corrupt the body and tries to block the guidance of the spirit.  The spirit is really the power in the body, but it must be fed regularly.  If it isn't fed, it is weak and ineffective.  Under these conditions the spirit can be overwhelmed, if it does not connect with God.
The spirit feeds on the Word of God.  As it feeds, it grows in strength.  After feeding regularly for a while, the spirit can start to control the brain.  Now the brain agrees with the spirit that satan is not in control, they are.
At this point the spirit who is one with God, and the renewed brain, all get together to get the body to do what is right in the eyes of God.
Once the brain and the spirit get control of the body, satan becomes a minor irritant at times, and nothing more.  This is a very brief description, but I think it gets the idea across.  We have control, and satan cannot get to us if we don't let him.  Have a blessed day.
Praise the Lord!
