Times Of Testing

Hebrews 3:12, Watch out brothers and sisters, so that there won't be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the Living God

Apostasy is defined as, unbelieving, Shield World movement away from God.

Falling away is similar to apostasy. It means Rebellion, abandonment of the truth.

The Bible tells us that in the end times, there will be a great falling away of the church. 

2 Thessalonians 2 :3, don't let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

You might be wondering exactly what apostasy  is and why it is. In order to get an idea of what and why, we must look at certain facts that have a lot to do with the answer.

God gave each of us a free will. Because He did that, He cannot go against Himself. He must allow each person to pursue what he believes. In allowing this, we see who and what we are. We can be confident of where we spend eternal life, because it is our decision.

As we look around this country and this world we see many disturbing things. Everything seems upside down, and nothing makes sense to us. Many people ask, where is God, and why does He allow this craziness? 

1 Timothy 4:1 Now The Holy Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons.

James 1: 2 - 3, consider it a great joy my brothers and sisters whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

Do not think for one minute that God is not aware of, or cares about all of the chaos. Before creation, God knew how everything would turn out. He is allowing all of the pieces to fall into place before He says enough is enough.

God knows what each of us will do. He's giving us time to make our final decision. Apostasy or falling away occurs, when we stop believing and trusting in God. It tells us how strong or how weak our faith really is.

Matthew 24 :22 Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.
