A Choice

Ephesians 1: 4 - 5

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption, as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

This verse confuses many people. Most think that God decided who is saved, and who isn't. Nothing could be further from the truth. Let's take a good look at it.

Life is full of choices. We make dozens of choices every day. Most of us make choices with no thought to the consequences’

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you, except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the Temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

So step number one is, God knew before you were born, how and when you would be tempted. He gave you a way out,  each time, but it was your choice for the way to go. You had to decide if you would trust God, and follow what you knew in your heart,  was the right thing to do.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Call this another step that God took for your good. There are countless steps to God's plan for your well-being on earth and in eternity.  It all boils down to this. God knew before anyone was born, the path that they would follow. He knew who would choose Him and who would not. God did not decide, we did. You must choose whether to serve Him or not. Remember, God sent His only son to save us, it says so in the New Testament. Realize  this important fact. You must know what is in the New Testament in order to make the right choices. So there you are. The most important choice you will ever make. God bless you and your family.

Praise the Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.

Praise the Lord!

Amen
