Hate Destroys The Hater

James 4:17, therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Hate is defined as an intense or passionate dislike for someone. When someone does something evil against you, the normal reaction is to seek revenge in some way. That is not the way according to God's word.

Romans 12: 19, beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.

Proverbs 10: 12, hatred stirs up strife, but love conquers all sins.

Besides being against the word of God, hate has a number of bad side effects for the hater. For instance, hate messes up your thinking. It is normal for hate to cause bad decisions that make things even worse for you than the original offense.

1 John 3: 15, whoever hates his brother, is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Almighty God talked about the heart and that you are innocent or guilty by its judgment.

Matthew 15: 19, for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemes.

Another point. The longer you hate, the stronger the hate becomes. You can destroy the rest of your life, or give it to God and move on in peace.

Proverbs 20: 22, do not say, I will recompense evil. Wait for the Lord, and He will save you.

When we hate someone, we go against the word of God. We put ourselves in spiritual jeopardy. We have no peace, and the person who did us the injustice doesn't know or care, so who is the winner. Do not miss out on what Almighty God has for us.

Psalm 51: 10, create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.

Amen!

Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

Embrace The Power

Isaiah 40:29-31, He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

In the Bible there is a warrior named Gideon. Gideon was the 5th judge to rule in Israel. At that time the Midianites were oppressing Israel. Israel would grow crops, and the Midianites would steal them. They took everything. They even brought their animals with them to feed on the land. As a result. Israel couldn't feed themselves, because they could not even raise sheep.

That went on for seven years until the people called out to God, and Almighty God heard them. God sent a prophet to them to tell everyone why they were suffering.

After everything God did for them since He took them out of Egypt, they started worshipping other gods. God had mercy on them and sent an Angel to Gideon. When the Angel saw Gideon, he addressed Gideon as mighty warrior. At the time Gideon was the exact opposite of a mighty warrior, but God was about to work in his life.

Judges 6: 15, so he said to the Angel oh my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed. my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

God chooses the most unlikely person to free Israel and conquer their enemies. Gideon didn't even know which end of his sword to hold. He sure was no warrior.

Ephesians 6: 10, finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

2 Timothy 1:7, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Read the book of Judges chapter 6-8 for the whole story.

From reading the Bible we see countless stories of God picking weak people for really bad situations. The Midianites had about 139,000 warriors and God allowed Gideon to have 300. God wanted all of Israel and Gideon to know who really won the battle.

The lesson here is Almighty God is in charge. We accomplish what He wants for us to accomplish by His power, not ours. Every single thing we do is by the grace of God. No matter how poor or lowly we might be doesn't matter to God. All we have to do is trust and He will do the rest. God Bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

A Matter Of Trust

Proverbs 3: 5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

The words of these verses and those following give us a lift in our spirits. For the majority of us, the verse seems exciting, as long as things are going good.

Did you ever stop to think, when things don't look so good, how often you start to doubt and fear? That is a sign that your faith is beginning to slip a little because you're starting to think negatively.

Do you realize that when you start to think negatively, you are showing faith in that direction. You have faith something will go wrong. It is a fact we get what we expect, so if you see a negative result, you are putting yourself in danger of achieving that negative result.

Psalm 37: 4-5, take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desires. Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him, and He will act.

Philippians 4: 6-7, don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

If you read the Bible, no doubt you have read about the importance of God's timing in the process of prayers being answered.

Psalm 27: 14, wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the Lord.

Some people think their prayer was not answered because it didn't happen right away. Most of the time it was not God's timing, not a question of a prayer not being answered. His timing is perfect. Ecclesiastes tells us there is a time for everything under the sun.

Another common problem is not giving the problem to God. Sometimes we give the problem to God, but then we start to get a little concerned, and without realizing it we take it back, and it is no longer in God's hands. At that point of course, failure is inevitable.

2 Corinthians 5: 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.

Proverbs 16: 3, commit your way to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

Commit your prayer to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit, in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and begin thanking and Praising Almighty God for the answer, and just believe.

I confess my sins, and ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Mercy And Forgiveness

Matthew 6: 14-15, for if you forgive others their offenses, your Heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you don't forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.

Last Sunday I was watching pastor John Hagee and something he said got me thinking about things like mercy, love and so on.

During a sermon about mercy and forgiveness, pastor Hagee pictured a mercy bank in Heaven. When you show mercy, almighty God makes a deposit to your mercy account.

At that point I pictured a number of accounts that each of us has in Heaven. We have various accounts, such as giving, love, forgiveness, kindness, and it goes on and on.

Luke 6: 38, give, and it will be given to you; A good measure- pressed down, shaken together, and running over- will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

In life we cannot withdraw money from a bank and never make a deposit. It is the same with our spiritual bank. Our spiritual bank is run by almighty God, so you can believe that all the accounts are correct.

I know God pays interest, so that makes up for some of the shortfall. And as I said I do believe He has a certain amount of overdraft protection on our accounts. The truth is we need overdraft protection because when we look at our account versus how much has been withdrawn from it, it is impossible for us to ever have enough on our own. It is God's mercy that keeps our account liquid.

In life we must pay for every overdraft. Just because Almighty God loves and forgives much, does not mean we can take advantage of Him. It isn't so much that whatever balance we have may not be enough. God in His mercy will not cut us off. Almighty God doesn't work that way. We should let our conscience be our guide, and realize that we never know how much is enough. God Bless you and your Family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

God's Promises Sunday

A Heart Thing

Galatians 5:16, I say then, walk by the Spirit, and you will certainly not carry out the desire of the flesh.

When I was very young, I had a teacher who was constantly telling our class that idle hands are the devil's workshop. She never explained what it meant, so it fell on deaf ears.

Many years later, I thought about that saying and I realized that it should be an idle mind instead. My own experience taught me the truth with that little saying.

Psalm 51:10, create a clean heart in me oh God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

When you have time on your hands, you can experience some bad things if you don't keep your brain on positive things. satan loves using idle time for his purposes.

You would probably start out, complaining to yourself about how unfair life is. You would think about your disappointments, your failures, either real or imagined. As you sit there thinking, more than likely you would start feeling sorry for yourself, and all of your thoughts would become exaggerated.

The Bible tells us that our hearts can lead us to sin. This is a big reason that we covet what belongs to our neighbor. Envy and hate usually follow behind. Without realizing it we are following satan's orders, and we start justifying everything we feel in our hearts period.

Romans 8: 7, the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God's law.

In my own experience, I found out that if I talk to our heavenly father, or start to read the Bible, satan and negativity leave. As you concentrate on what our Lord and savior Jesus Christ did for you, you will start to get your faith back again and everything in this life will start to look better. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

You Can Do All Things

Philippians 4:13,  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

As people get older, most of them find out that they are not as strong or as agile as they used to be, and that distresses them. Some even have an occasional lapse in their memory, and that causes  them to worry in a big way.

As people grow through the anxiety process, a big mistake many make is to speak of these deficiencies. That of course ends up being a self-fulfilling prophecy, because satan was listening to what they said and is glad to help them achieve it. Remember, words have power.

Philippians 4:19,  and my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

We have all heard this verse many times. It is commonly associated with financial situations. While it definitely is connected to every day needs such as food or rent, it is much more.

If you had the physical strength of 10 men, would you limit it to opening pop bottles, or would you use more of your power and do more things?

I use this as an example, because many believers limit God and what He can do. They call on Him for a couple of things and then hope. They never take advantage of the unbelievable power the Lord has and is waiting to use to help us.

Luke 1:37,  for with God nothing will be impossible.

Stretch your brain. Think big, and then think bigger. Our Lord is eager to do for us, what we cannot do. Thank Him, and Praise Him for who He is and what He did for us by giving us His Son and of course the Ultimate gift salvation for those who accept it.

Isaiah 41:10,  fear not, for I Am with You; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Words in the Bible are the words of God. Read it, believe it, live it. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Not Just Money

Luke 6:38, give and it will be given to you; good measure,, shaken together, and running over will He put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

Preachers usually start a talk  about tithing by saying something like “this usually empties the church” of course it doesn't, but it really is a tough topic.

Leviticus 27:30, and all the tides of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, it is the Lord's. It is Holy to the Lord.

Matthew 23:23, woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and anise and cumin and have neglected the weightier matters of the law. Justice and mercy and Faith. These you ought to have done without leaving the others undone.

After reading these verses, it is easy to see that tithing is not just money. While money is necessary, it is only a part of the story.

Tithing came about as a way of helping the poor. There is more to the story though. Tithing as well as any kind act must be with a happy heart. We shouldn't brag or look for praise, it is as in the case of money, Anonymous.

There are people who are sick, infirm, old, and anything you can name that needs physical help. Drive to the doctor, shopping,  cutting grass, shoveling snow, and all kinds of other things and of course the biggest one of all praying for them.

It might be a good idea for each of us to figure out if and how much money we could give. How much of our time, including prayer time. We must do anything with a loving heart, because in God's eyes it doesn't count unless it is with a clean loving heart.

If we look around, It won't take very long to find somebody that needs some help from us. Tithing our time I believe is a very important  part of tithing. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

2 Corinthians 9:7-8, so let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful Giver. And  God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
