Greetings My Friends;
The message today concerns our country and Christians. We, at least for now have a really diluted version of Thanksgiving, and a country that has really gone astray.
This country and Thanksgiving were founded on the Bible. The people and the government followed what it taught. It was the basis for our lives. It was a country blessed by God. No other country was so blessed, even presidents put God first, and had days of national prayer and thanksgiving.
After about 200 years I guess people started getting tired of being blessed. They started to stray from what made us great. So-called progress and education reached a point, where a lot of people figured they didn't need God anymore.
As we kept God out of our lives, we started to go downhill. As this was happening, where did all the Christians go? How did we let our country abandon God. He did not abandon us, we abandoned Him.
The people started to follow the ways of a fallen, broken world, and the government was happy to go along with it. Why? Because we elected the government and put in many ungodly people. Everything this country was, has evaporated. Abortion, gay marriage, and countless other violations of the Bible, have and continue to occur.
We as Christians can take things back. Starting with educating ourselves about who to vote for. The Internet has made that much easier. Vote for good Christian candidates. Send letters to our representatives, reminding them why they were elected.
If we as Christians made noise like the people who support things like abortion and gay marriage, we could change the laws and the government. The Bible tells us the way to get to heaven. One way, and that is through Jesus Christ. Don't believe some self proclaimed Christian politician who says there are many ways to get to heaven.
Feel helpless? Don't. Our God can overcome anything. Pray for better candidates to run for office. Do your homework before you vote. Vote your conscience not just for a particular political party. Stand up and be heard. 1 million is accumulated one at a time, so your one vote counts, use it.
If you don't like the idea of Thanksgiving being turned into a shopping day, don't shop. There are many ways we can use our votes and our dollars. We are sheep only to and for the Lord. In the world we are children of God, and we must act like it.
Have a really blessed Thanksgiving. Thank the Lord for everything in your life, and pray for our country. Every day should be a day of thanksgiving and prayer.

Prayer of Salvation;
"Oh God in Heaven, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead. I receive Your Word, and I repent of sin. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth, cleansed and washed in the Word and in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen"
This will be the back bone of my online Ministry. All are welcome to interact with each other while learning about God, the wonderful blessings he gives us and his compassionate forgiveness. I will give a verse from the Bible then explain in real world examples the meaning.

Thoughts On Thanksgiving
Greetings My Friends;
Well we are at the holiday season again. I won't get into how much Thanksgiving and Christmas have come so far from what they originally signified. I will just cover my own thoughts on Thanksgiving. If you think some of it is corny, I forgive you.
When I look at my life, I cannot help seeing all of the things I am thankful to God for. In the first place, the Lord put people and circumstances together, so that as far from Him as I was, I came to see how much I needed Him.
Years ago if you asked me if I was following God or the devil, I really wouldn't know what to say. I guess a lot of us feel that if we don't kill anyone, or kick a little old lady down the stairs, we will probably go to heaven. I won't bore you with all of the ugly details, but praise the Lord I am saved now. Read the Bible for the truth, I had problems because I never did.
I am blessed with a wife that has put up with me for 49 years and counting. She and my two sons are a blessing in every sense of the word. I am retired, and have plenty of time to spend with the Lord. I enjoy what I do, and feel more blessed every day if that is possible. My wife is what I call my soulmate. I bounce things off of her, and she helps me in what I do.
Another reason for my thankfulness is our health. A number of years ago I was in the hospital for a sudden heart condition called atrial fibrillation. The following year I had to have a kidney removed. Because of the trauma of surgery, I developed type II diabetes, and had to take insulin. Starting to sound like a soap opera? There is more. I do woodworking, and due to not paying the proper respect to the tools, I almost cut off three fingers.
The next thing I will say may be hard for some to believe. After I found the Lord, and started reading His Word, I prayed for healing. I'm here to tell you that over a period of about one year, all of my ailments went away, and I am totally free from them.
Now for a little less drama. I am also thankful for many things we usually take for granted, or maybe even complain about. A loving family, a wonderful country, a warm house, warm clothes, plenty of food, had a good job, a fulfilling retirement, good health, good friends, and you could keep going with this list for hours.
The whole point is, we all have something to be thankful for, even if they aren't exactly the way we like. Things can get better. Start right now by sincerely thanking God for what he has blessed you with, not just for Thanksgiving, but every day. If you read the Word and study it, you will find just what blessings you can expect from Him if you follow His way.

satans activity
Greetings My Friends;
There really is no reason to tell anyone that satan is an untiring adversary. We all know that. He is relentless and cunning. He is a liar, and for want of a better term, a conjurer.
He prefers his biggest attacks to be at specific situations, kind of like an army attacking at dawn. He will make things happen as soon as you get up in the morning. Maybe you got up late, you didn't sleep well, no time for breakfast, and that is just the start.
As you drive to work, you experience a larger number of people who aggravate you. They really get your goat. You get to work and there is a problem there. You get the idea. All day long he puts stumbling blocks in front of you. He not only wants to ruin your day, he wants to use you to ruin someone else's day.
If you are feeling a little depressed, it is something he caused in the first place. He was setting you up so he could really work on you. First he tries to weaken you, and then he tries to finish you off. No surprise here.
One more good example of his tactics happens when, believe it or not the devil is nervous. This condition is caused when an intended target is trusting in the Lord. The more you trust the Lord, the harder satan will work. If you have great trust in the Lord, he will find another way to attack you. He will try to put doubt in your mind. He will probably try to convince you that you aren't good enough, or you don't do enough.
satan will put thoughts in your head and try to convince you that they were your thoughts. He usually tries to bring up old sins to lay guilt on you. He will do anything to get your mind away from God, and onto things he hopes will distract you.
Take heart my friends. At any time you choose, you can stop him in his tracks.
1 Corinthians 12:27 "I am the body of Christ, and satan hath no power over me"
1 John 4:4 "I am of God and have overcome him(satan). For greater is He that is in me, then he who is in the world"
James 4:7 "I am submitted to God and the devil flees from me because I resist him in the name of Jesus"
Colossians 1:13 "I am delivered from the power of darkness, and I am translated into the kingdom of His dear Son"
Meditate on these verses so that when you use them it will be more than just words. When you are driving, especially when you are alone, listen to inspirational or teaching CDs. If you are at home and are attacked, read the Word. It will pass. satan doesn't want to deal with someone who believes, and turns to the Lord. When all is said and done, he is just a pest. Ignore him, he really hates that too.

Choice or Chance
Greetings My Friends;
Most of us go through life doing our thing. Each of us has a little different way of doing things. I would like to briefly describe a few character studies. They are the result of years of dealing with all kinds people. These descriptions cover a couple of general characteristics of each group. Naturally there are exceptions. You will get the point of this exercise, about halfway through this message, so please bear with me.
First let us look at people who are successful in the eyes of the world. They are usually intelligent, hard-working, and able to focus on whatever they are doing. If they are professional, they are generally very dedicated. Most pursue their goal and are seldom sidetracked. They are prepared to sacrifice to achieve their desired goals. Their self-esteem level is very high. As a matter of fact, the problem with most high achievers, is that they honestly believe that they did everything on their own, and have no need of God.
The next group is usually in the bottom 50 or 60%. And this group of people generally have less education, and average or below incomes because of any number of circumstances. Most of these people seem to be in a constant state of unhappiness or even depression. Relationships suffer the farther down you go. Most, usually have a lot of debt to deal with. A general sense of hopelessness is fairly common. Their self-esteem level is generally pretty low. These people however, in fairly large numbers, are looking for God to help them, because they know they cannot do most things on their own.
If you talk to the well-off people about the other group, they will probably tell you that the people at the bottom are mostly just lazy. They have no ambition or discipline. They don't know how to sacrifice anything. The well-off feel that the less fortunate don't try very hard, so they deserve what they get.
The less fortunate feel that the people on the top are lucky, know the right people, or have success at the expense of the little guy.
The plain truth is that God loves all of us. Our lives are influenced by God, satan, and ourselves. We make the choices in our lives, and we generally live by the results of our choices. God does not have favorites, he wants everyone to come to him. satan however hates everyone and wants them to come to him. Everyone else has a decision to make as to who they will follow.
Just because some people are well-off, it doesn't mean that they belong to God. So it is that just because you are poor it does not mean you belong to the devil.
If God is your God, you are blessed and usually make good decisions. The opposite is also true. God has a plan for each person. We are free to decide for ourselves if we follow his plan or ours. Social status does not reflect how much God loves us. Who we follow does determine our future. Everything else in the meantime is just stuff, and everyone has a job to do. It's all part of God's plan.
It is said very well in Ecclesiastes 9:11, the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. Nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, not favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all. As I have said before, and believe with all my heart, if you seek after God first all the rest will come to you.

Doing Their Best
Greetings My Friends;
As we would probably all agree, people are all different. They look different and they Think Different.
Let us say that you see someone doing something that doesn't measure up to your standards. Take for example a healthy person parking in a handicapped spot. A knee-jerk reaction would be to criticize, feel self-righteous, or question their upbringing.
Everyone has reasons for what they do, even if it doesn't make sense to us. In the example of the parking space, it is probably wrong morally and certainly illegal. On the other hand our reaction in the example is probably much more offensive to God than what the person who parked did.
It is written, "it is Mine to avenge, I will repay says the Lord, Romans 12:19. The best thing to do is to pray, and put it in God's hands. It took me most of my life to think that way. I always figured, revenge was sweet, but I found out it is not God's way.
Another example would be keeping a budget. For some people it is a no-brainer, but for others it is almost impossible. There are some people who give it their best and can't seem to make a go of it. Before you judge them, realize that a certain amount of what we call failures, are people who are doing their best.
Some people are afraid of just about everything. They are still doing their best. Sometimes they try very hard at a job that is not difficult, and can't quite measure up. Maybe they did their best.
I guess what it all boils down to is this. God created everyone and loves us all the same. If God created some people that turn out defective, it is up to him to decide what to do. It is not our business to criticize his work. We all have some kind of deficiency. Praise God he doesn't throw all of us on a scrap pile, but continues to love us. He doesn't condemn us, so we should not judge or condemn someone else.

Just Believe
Greetings My Friends;
When we are born again, it happens because we are told in the Bible that when we say with our mouth that Jesus is our personal Savior and believe in our heart, we are saved. At the same time our sins are forgiven, and we become heirs of heaven with Jesus.
Have you ever thought about the faith involved in that process? Do you really believe? Was it hard? If you are truly saved, it probably wasn't that difficult to believe, because the Father called you and the Holy Spirit gave you the yearning that made you accept Jesus.
There are many incidents in the Bible that may seem difficult to believe. Friends may doubt, and try to make a case for the seemingly impossible to be a fairytale. Even TV shows, comment about the Bible being just a collection of stories. Everyone it seems is out to discredit the Bible. Even some religious groups try to pick and choose what they believe.
When you add up all the negative you are bombarded with, it could make your head spin. If you look with you human eyes, and your human brain, the devil will try to get you like everyone else he has in his power.
We are told to believe as little children. If you truly believe that you are saved, the rest is not that hard. The Bible was dictated by God to the various authors. Since God does not lie, every word in the Bible must be true. Now we get to the part that stumps a lot of people. I will explain how I arrived at the answer for me.
Every day I start out asking the Holy Spirit to renew my mind, and make the Word clear to me. After I am finished reading, I dedicate my day and my life to the Lord. The rest of the day I do my best to live as I believe Jesus would want me to.
The next part you may find a little different, but every word is true. As I follow this routine during the day, I am on the lookout for extra blessings, because I expect that. The Lord said so. If you put everything together, your faith will grow.
Now the child part. I made up my mind that whatever satan or the world tells me, I will believe the Word of God and no other. I made a conscious decision that if it is in the Bible, I believe it.
When I run across something my human mind has a problem with, I just say I believe that, and I put it on my list of questions I will ask the Lord when I see him. It has gotten to the point I spend practically no time wondering about anything. If anything really happened, I don't care what science or anyone else thinks. Try it. Say to yourself I believe, no matter what it looks like. You will experience peace and the blessings of the Lord.

Prayer of Salvation;
Amen"

A Message
Greetings My Friends;
Over the last seven months, I have written about a number of things. As I said many times, I feel the Holy Spirit put them in my heart.
It all started because I wanted to help people understand a number of things that puzzled me in the past. I tried to keep everything as honest as anything can be. When I write about personal experiences or thoughts, you are getting the whole true story.
I tried to give the message in a simple way, because I am a simple guy. I always try not to preach, because I am not a preacher. I write the way I think, keep it simple and honest.
Over the last several months, people from many countries have read my messages. I feel with all of my heart that the Holy Spirit led each of them for reasons known to the Holy Spirit. We are all one through Christ who loves us, so why not believe that we are led.
In trying to help other people, I found out that I was helping myself. I found out many things I never realized before. My eyes were opened to things I never saw before. I found myself searching even more in my quest for the truth.
My oldest son helps me by doing the computer stuff. He had a Bible I gave him, several inspirational books, a number of CDs, all of which he didn't have time for. They just gathered dust. When I started doing this, he was very encouraging and volunteered to help.
He reads every message, and edits it, and does his thing with the computer. I really don't know how much time he spends on these messages, but whatever it is he does it without fail. I have a new son. He now has a preacher or two that he watches. The Lord has blessed him and his wife in so many ways, it seems like a dream.
The Holy Spirit will lead you if you make up your mind to follow. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying my message affected my son like that. I am saying that the Holy Spirit opened the eyes of someone who was helping to do His work, and blessed them. My son is so committed to this, that if I wanted to stop, he would fight that idea as long as it took.
I am starting with videos twice a week. The video is on a different subject than the written message. The video goes into things a little deeper than the written message, because it is easier for some people that way.
I want to sincerely thank all of the people who read or watch these messages. Sometimes when I am attacked by satan, and get a little discouraged, you guys are what really helps me fight him. If you find a message that talks to you, please pass it on to someone you love. Once again. Thank you so much, and please keep me in your prayers.
