God's Promises Sunday

Where Your Faith Is

Hebrews 11:1, Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The definition of faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something. In biblical times, many people saw and heard what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said and did. Some believed but most did not.

Now we look at today. We have the written word of God to show us the plan of our creator. We see eyewitness accounts about the teachings and examples of the works of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Shall we accept or reject? It is our choice.

John 14:12-14, most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name I will do it.

Many people do not understand what this verse really means. They pray and try as hard as they can to believe the results they want. Waiting for the manifestation of the answer is discouraging and usually results in some level of unbelief. So, what is wrong? Does Almighty God not here?

We quote verses that apply, and really try, but no results. Answer this question and you’ll get the answer. Are you trusting in your faith to make things happen, or is your faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to keep his word? When you put your faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you can believe that there will be an answer if you have patience and wait on God’s timing.

Pray and believe in the One who can do it. It really is that simple. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and Resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. Amen!

Praise The Lord!
