Pray For Someone

1 Timothy 2:1, Therefore I exhort first that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.

Most people feel sympathy for someone who is dealing with death of a loved one or has some kind of serious illness. That feeling comes from our Creator in order for us to have compassion for people.

Unfortunately, the judgment of people comes into play many times. We look at other situations such as someone dying from cancer and many times we don’t feel as much compassion because the general idea is it was a self-inflicted disease. The person knew better but they did something to cause it anyway.

A better way to look at so-called self-inflicted diseases is more a result of bad decisions based on little or no information. It is not our job to decide who deserves prayer or not.

As all of us know by now, all these bad decisions and so-called self-inflicted problems were caused by satan himself. This is not a cop-out or excuse for the bad decisions, it is a fact. It is easy to fall into those problems when you are far from God and satan has a chance to sneak in and lead you the wrong way.

As Christians we should look at other people with compassion, and not judgmentally. Remember, but for the grace of God, we would be in their place. Next time you see some unfortunate person, ask yourself what Jesus would do. If you can help, help. If that’s not possible, pray for them. It’s not a bad idea to pray for them anyway.

Over the years I’ve come to realize that praying for a specific individual in the form of a petition to Almighty God, is very effective prayer. When you write a petition to our Father it is a good idea to include a few verses from the Bible that back up what you are asking for, and what you stand on. Stand on the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and your prayer will be heard.

John 14: 13-14, whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

A practice I heard about a long time ago that sounded like a good idea to me, became a part of my prayer life. I sit by myself and I ask the Lord if there is anyone in particular I should pray for. At that point I wait and usually within minutes someone’s name comes to me, and I write it down in a journal along with the petition. It seems that seeing the writing and doing the writing makes everything come to life. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves You.

Prayer Of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.

Amen!

Praise The Lord!

1 Peter  3: 12, for the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
