2 Chronicles 7:14,  If my people who who are called by My name, humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.

Many people do not realize that praying for people in power is not limited to one place. The answer to every problem is found in the Bible, it is not found with an individual.

There are many verses that show us God's mercy and His wrath. The following verses help to explain the verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14

Job 12:23-25, He makes nations great, then destroys them; He enlarges nations, then leads them away: He deprives the world leaders of reason, and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland. They grope around in darkness without light; He makes them stagger like a drunkard.

Genesis 18:32, Then He said, let my Lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time. Suppose ten are found there? He answered, I will not destroy it on account of 10.

1  Timothy 2:1-4, first of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all Godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

When you consider that second chronicles was actually written to a small group of people, you begin to see the mercy God has for His people.

The world has about 8 billion people. Of this amount of people probably 2 billion claim to be Christian. Of that number let's suppose there are maybe 400,000 that are true bible believing, God fearing people.

In the case of Sodom and Gomorrah, Almighty God was willing to stop punishment if only a relatively tiny amount were righteous. We have the same opportunity. It must be true repentance, God is not a fool l! Each of us must repent, and seek God's mercy.

If we follow the advice from the verses Almighty God will indeed hear our prayers. The only problem is all Christians need to take part in praying for our nation and the world. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.
