The Past Helps

Proverbs 16:9, The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

You know something my friends? Looking back at your Life does not have to be regrets and depression. I have found that it can be an amazing learning experience.

As you start to look back, look back with the knowledge that God always wants to bless you. You'll see the things in your life that He took care of and you weren't even aware of it.  You'll see miracles that occurred causing what seemed to be impossible work out for your benefit.. More than likely you thought it was just a case of good luck. When you unknowingly rejected God's help and things went wrong, you probably called it bad luck. We can all learn and prosper in the future when we realize who is really in charge. A little clue, it isn’t us.

What you will come to learn is that it was so simple all the time, that it was easy to overlook. I pray for something in Jesus name, and in my heart I receive it, and praise God. Since I don't know what will happen 3 seconds from now, and God does, I wait for Him to bring it about. Just relax and trust, and in God's time it will manifest.

It is amazing how God works in your life if you stay out of the way realizing that He knows what's coming and you don't. God also knows what it will take to get you back to Him, God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please  forgive all of my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior.  I want to serve only you.

Praise The Lord!

Amen

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Trusting

Psalm 62:8, Trust in Him at all times, o people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Every living person goes through trials or tests of faith. It stands to reason that if I have a test, so do many others. I write these messages because I realized that if God helps me, He will help you.

I had been praying that I learn something that will really unlock the power of Prayer. After doing this a number of times, I suddenly got the knowledge in my heart that I had unconfessed sins. I could not imagine what they could be. I confessed everything, I thought. Like many people I said to myself,  Self, You are a pretty decent guy. You didn't kill anyone, rob anyone, you give to various charities, you're okay.

As I prayed, I began to realize like never before, it is what God sees, and His standards that we are judged by. Remember when Jesus said lust in your heart is considered adultery to Him. If I use that standard for everything, I will be on the right track.

None of us will ever be sinless so we must confess. Because of Jesus our sins are forgiven. Confessing to our Father shows Him we realize when we sin, and will try to do better.

Learning that was such a boost to my faith, that I will thank and praise God every day, because it brought me a new level of peace and relationship with God. Remember we must judge ourselves by God's standards not ours or the worlds. God sees all, and knows all, and loves us anyway. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only You.

Praise The Lord!

Get Tough

Ephesians 6:10-18, Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end, with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

As human beings, created by God, we are on this earth to fulfill a mission that is part of God's plan for man. Every person who ever lived, lived at a time, and in a place determined by God, in order to fulfill His master plan. Even the job you have, and family you have, was picked by God.

Many people ignore the voice of God, and insist on doing things their way. satan runs the world, and they follow him and the world, and the pursuit of pleasure. satan makes life fun before your destruction.

Few people in comparison follow what God says. These people love God and want to please Him. satan doesn't like that, so he works at trying to turn people against God.

Did you know that when you get depressed, or feel anxious or depresed, satan is working on you. He is trying to steal your faith, and make you go against God. He tries to get you to forget or minimize your blessings, by magnifying the real or perceived bad things that are happening in your life.

Hebrews 13:5, let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For he himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

We are like a piece of a 1 trillion piece puzzle. Every piece has a place designed in the big picture, by God. If one of those pieces is missing, the whole puzzle is not complete. Just remember this my friends. It may be very difficult at times to follow God's plan, because human nature wants to take charge. One thing we all have to remember, is that God is the master planner, and if we let Him control everything, our life will come out a masterpiece.

James 4:7, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

God Bless You and Your Family.

Salvation Through Jesus Alone

John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me.

I was talking to a Christian yesterday about salvation. This person started to tell me about all of the people they have to save. I was surprised by what this person said, and I will tell you why.

It is unfortunate that many Christians turn people off to God, by being aggressive to the point they are obnoxious. This is one of the reasons many people think Christians are fanatics.

The facts are simple. You cannot save anyone. You can pray for their salvation. You can plant the seed of Salvation by being an example of a real Christian through your actions.

When the holy spirit gives you an opening in a conversation to talk about Jesus, do it. Don't overdo it.

The Holy Spirit makes the seeds that you plant grow. Only He can save people by the way He puts Jesus in their hearts.

So relax and follow what the Holy Spirit tells you. The Holy Spirit follows the Word of God. If you follow the Word of God, and a prompting of the Holy Spirit, you will do God's Will and plan for your life. It's that simple. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You. Amen.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Truth About Worry

Matthew 6:34,  so do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today.

Jesus never spoke just to talk. He always had a reason for what He told the people. If you really think about the things He said, you will find everything He said, one way or another it's true today.

Jesus was talking about taking one day at a time. Since we cannot control what happens, what good is it to worry about. We can however control how we deal with it.

Trusting in our loving God, always gets us through, no matter what. 1 Peter 5: 7 tells us to cast all our cares on Jesus because he cares for you.

Worry is not a gift from God, it is a tactic satan uses to distract us. Think of a weather report. Many times it is wrong even the same day it is forecast. So with everything that is going on in the world, how can you worry about tomorrow when we don't know what will happen 1 minute from now.

Worry steals your joy. How many people in your life are affected by how you feel and react to problems? If we have confidence following Jesus as children do following their parents, than it is a gift from God to them that will serve them well in life. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve Only You.

Praise The Lord Anyway

Habakkuk 3:17-18, Though the fig trees should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail, and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold, and there being no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

It should come as no surprise to most Christians, that satan is working harder than ever to undermine our trust in God. satan knows that one of the most powerful flaws in people, is to complain. It is easy to find things to complain about, because satan makes everything look worse than it really is, and then hits us between the eyes with it.

Why does satan works so hard at trying to get us to complain? Because he knows it offends God.

Numbers 11:1-3, Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord, for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp. Then the people cried out to Moses, and when Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched. So he called the name of the place Taberah, because the fire of the Lord had burned among them.

If we stumble once in a while, God will forgive us if we ask. When that happens, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and give you strength. Make a conscious effort to look for the blessings in your life. Don't look just for material things that you can buy, look at things such as trees and flowers, birds, your health. Don't miss a chance to look at everything as a blessing.

The average person has a tendency to minimize or overlook the good and maximize the bad. satan is the key factor, but remember, God gave each of us the gift of choice. We decide who and what we follow. Remember when you live according to God's will, and give your day to Him, everything that happens that day is part of His plan, so no matter what happens during that day, it is part of God's plan for you. Thank Him for it with all your heart, regardless of what satan is trying to tell you.

Praising the Lord anyway, opens your heart and mind to doing it God's way, and being who you were created to be.

1 Thessalonians 5:18-19, In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. God bless you and your family.

The New Life

This morning I felt a little down when I woke up. I have come to recognize satan’s tricks, so I immediately started talking to God. The situation in the world came to my mind, so without even thinking about it I started thanking God for my situation.

I am saved, I have a loving family that is saved, good health, a comfortable place to live, I can pay my bills, and on and on you could go on forever.

During our coffee time with the Lord, we realized how blessed we are everyday. The Holy Spirit also put on our hearts that many people are missing out because they don't know the truth.

It took me a long time to see the truth. Like many people today, I used to think that certain preachers had special powers to heal. Miracles happen when certain preachers pray. And of course the old , I know he was healed, but I don't think it will happen for me. We will see the real story.

We will take a day-by-day trip through the lives of ordinary people like you and me. We will find out that all believers have power through Jesus' name, and the power of the Holy Spirit. All we need to do is learn the facts about how God feels about each of us , and the rest will fall into place so join me on this little trip and see that people just like us have miracles everyday.

I have included two scriptures to get you thinking in the right direction and we will go from there tomorrow.

John 14:13-14, Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

1  John 5: 14-15,  this is the confidence we have before Him; if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that he hears us whatever we ask, we know we have what we asked of Him.

God's peace and blessing be upon you and yours.

Resurrection Day

2 Corinthians 6:2, In a favorable time I listened to you, in a day of salvation, I have helped you.

Since the time of the resurrection of Jesus, people have questioned the Bible and its accuracy. They have as one of their favorite arguments, tha the bible was wrong about the number of days that Jesus was dead.. The Bible is correct. Hebrews used to call a part of a day as a whole day. Friday was the first day, the Sabbath was the second, and even if Jesus rose one minute after midnight on Sunday, it was still the third day. .

From the time of the crucifixion, through the Resurrection, reports of hundreds of dead people rising and being seen by many eyewitnesses that saw Jesus, was as it was recorded in the Bible. Countless people were converted because of this.

History reports thousands of Christians dying for their faith. Do men die for fairytales? Would you be that convinced if you were a witness? Do you doubt now? Do yourself a favor, and stop following what the world says is true. The Bible says most will perish for eternity.

Jesus conquered death, and in the process He conquered satan. Because of this, we gain eternal life through Jesus, and our souls are taken back from satan who stole them from Adam and Eve. If not for what Jesus did, we would all be spending eternity in Hell.

I find it hard to separate the true significance of Christmas, crucifixion, and Resurrection. All three were necessary in order to achieve what Jesus did. It took all three of them to keep us from paying for our own sins. Jesus did what we could not do for ourselves. The power of God's love for us can never be fully understood by us, during our normal lifetime. The best way to thank God and praise Him, is to have faith and trust in His Word.

Resurrection Day should be celebrated with song, worship, and praise, because by Jesus rising from the dead, we have a new life too. We were dead in sin, but now we are alive in Christ. Hallelujah! God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Good Friday Remembrance

Isaiah 52 : 14, Just as many were appalled at you - His appearance was so disfigured that He did not look like a man and His form did not resemble a human being. CSB-Christian Standard Bible

Many people do not realize just how bad the whole process of crucifixion can be. It was the Roman's favorite source of execution for non Roman citizens. Let me briefly describe the process.

Before a person was crucified, it was normal practice for them to be scourged. Scourging involved a whip with nine long  pieces of leather, each piece of leather had pieces of bone and even some metal embedded in them. It was a form of cat of nine tails. When a person was whipped the idea is that they would swing the whip hard enough to get the pieces of bone to penetrate the skin and then the person whipping would jerk sharply, tearing skin and muscle  from the poor victim's body.

Stop to consider this. The Roman army in Israel, basically consisted of some of the worst there was. These so-called soldiers took great pleasure in inflicting as much pain on the victim as they possibly could. They had it down to a science knowing how much damage they could do to the body without killing them out right. They wanted the victim to suffer as much as possible before they died.

Isaiah 53: 1 - 12, basically tells the story about what Jesus did for us. It says in  the Bible that Jesus sweat blood. Many people do not believe that that is possible. Let me Enlighten you. A medical condition known as hema tidrosis is the fusion of blood in perspiration, caused by extreme anguish or physical strain. Subcutaneous capillaries dilate and burst merging blood with sweat. The vast majority of people who suffered this problem, died.

Stop  to consider  the fact that Jesus knew all of this way ahead of time.  Can you imagine how horrible that was?

Each lash was called a stripe. If you read Isaiah 53, you will see that by His stripes we are healed. His blood that was spilled, forgave all of our sins, past, present, and future. He did it in our place, so we wouldn’t have to.

As horrific as it was, He would have done it for even just one of us.

If you doubt the description I just gave, check it out on google.  If anyone in history should be glorified or praised, it is Jesus Christ. All we have to do is admit to Him that we are sinners, ask for forgiveness, and invite Him into our hearts as our personal savior. That is what He suffered and died for. He wants us to spend eternity with Him. God bless you and your family.

Peace In Your Heart

Habakkuk 3:17-18, Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit to be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail, and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, and will take joy in the God of my salvation.

I like to quote this verse often, because to me, I see my life through the Bible. By the way I also like Job. I can relate to these two people. As we go through life, many things just seem to happen. Usually the bad things gang up on you, and good things seem few and far between. The way I have come to look at it, the good and the bad are pretty much the same. They are in fact tests allowed by God for us to check our faith. Sound crazy? Let me explain.

Human nature has a tendency to take things for granted. When everything is going great, most of us congratulate ourselves for being smart, ambitious, hard-working, and more clever than the other guy. God does not enter into the picture. Most of the time, we don't even acknowledge His existence.

On the other hand, when things are going against us from everywhere, the majority of us blame God. Even if they never thought of Him, they now blame Him for everything that is wrong in their life. They take no responsibility for any of the things they did against God. There are times however when somebody gets so desperate they are ready to lose their mind, and they all of a sudden in desperation ask God for mercy. The amazing part of God's love for us is that He does help.

Job 2:9-10, Then his wife said to him, “do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “you speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, shall we not accept adversity? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

So you see, by doing what he does, God allows us to see where we stand in our faith.

Hebrews 13:5, Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,” I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The Bible And Miracles

2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I have known many people that think of the Bible and as just a bunch of stories. Others say it is too hard to understand. Still others talk about things like the parting of the Red Sea, and other major miracles as impossible.

If you really know Jesus, not just about Him, you would probably have an open mind about the Bible. Let's look at it in a different way. Start out by believing in miracles. Start out with the ones you think are possible. Believe what the Bible describes as Jesus the person. Really meditate on what Jesus did and why He did it.

Fast-forward 2000 years. Jesus is alive and well. The Holy Spirit still works miracles in Jesus name. Now bring that same Jesus and The Holy Spirit into your life. If you aren't a believer yet, realize that Jesus came for sinners and unbelievers.

Take a little time, and think about things from your life that you called luck. How impossible were most of those incidents? How about the so-called bad luck. When you look back at those, do you see any good that came later because of the initial bad luck.

Give it a try. Put yourself in Bible times. They took many of the same problems you have, to Jesus. He never said no to them, and He will not say no to you. Misinformed people say you cannot fight destiny and things are what they are. I take issue with that idea, because I know when you follow Jesus, it changes your life and your destiny. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Pray And Trust

Philippians 4:6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

If you are reading this message, you probably had occasion to pray at some point in your life. What happened then? You are not alone. It is pretty hard to have faith in prayer, especially in the beginning.

1 John 5:14-15, Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

The first thing you must do, is to find out what God's will is. It stands to reason that if you know His will, you can pray in agreement with God. How can a prayer that agrees with God, be rejected by God? Answer, it can't. God's will can be found in His Word, the Bible. After you pray, start thanking God for the result regardless of how you feel.

Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Once you pray, and thank God, don't keep checking to see if it physically happened yet. It is however okay to remind God of your prayer.

Remember this important fact. Worrying is a faith killer, and a prayer killer. Start with things you can believe for. Your faith will grow to the point you will be able to believe for absolutely anything. One more thing. When you pray, don't make it a complaint session. God knows your problems, and He wants to help you. So get on with your requests and leave the complaints in the dustbin of life. After you prayed, the important thing to remember is, let God do it, and get out of the way. God bless you and your family.

Nothing Is Impossible

Matthew 19:26, But Jesus looked at them and said to them, with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

There are dozens and dozens of verses that tell us that our God, is the God of the impossible. I for one heard most of them, at least I think I did, but I never really gave them much thought. It isn't that I didn't believe it, I just never thought about it.

If I recorded all of the miracles God has done in my life, you would literally get tired of reading them. While God was doing all of these miraculous things in my life, I hardly noticed, and never gave Him credit. Believe me, it is possible to be that unaware.

Not too many years ago, something happened that almost killed me. I don't remember who it was at the time, but they told me that it was a miracle that I wasn't killed. What saved me was impossible. All I said was, yeah, I guess you are right..

After that incident, I slowly started noticing big and small incidents that worked out for my good that were improbable or impossible. They didn't happen every day as far as I know, but at least a dozen or more times something like that did happen. All kinds of little things and big things. God just did it, without me even asking, because he loves me. He loves you too by the way.

Remember what I just said. God loves you. Start noticing the little impossible things that happen in your life, and be grateful and realize that he is always with you and will never leave you or forsake you. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
