The phrase take up your cross makes many people nervous. In order to understand it you must consider many different verses.
When you combine all the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and really think about what they are telling you, you will start to get an idea of how much He loves you.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.
As the verse tells us we must first seek the Kingdom of God. When we do with all our hearts, the Holy Spirit opens our hearts and our minds to the truth.
Colossians 3: 17, and whatever you do in word or deed do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
When we see the truth as the Holy Spirit shows it to us, all things start to become clear. An example of a normal path is as follows.
Psalm 118:24, this is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it.
When we start the day thanking God for the day, we commit that day to the Lord. Everything we do that day we make up our minds we are doing it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will lead us through the day, and as a result of that we are taking up the cross and following the Lord Jesus Christ. Good things, not so good, we still rejoice and don’t complain because we do it for the Lord.
1 Timothy 2:1, first I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people.
The Lord Jesus Christ urges us to pray for others from our hearts. We must forget ourselves. The amazing thing that happens is that God blesses us to overflowing when we do. If we trust in the Lord in all things, we will never regret it because He loves us.
The thing to keep in mind, is that in order to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, we must know who He is not just about Him. If we diligently study the sayings of Jesus, usually written in red in a Bible, and really start thinking about them, we will start praying from the heart, thereby getting answers to those prayers. Don’t give up but keep it up. God bless you and your family.
Praise The Lord!
Remember Jesus loves you.
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross and rose again in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
Praise The Lord!
Don’t forget Holy Moments!
