Faith Or Denial

It Is Written, Hebrews 11:1,  now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Everyday life brings its challenges, and we must deal with them the best way we know.  As we have heard in the past, we should turn those things over to God.  This part can cause some confusion.
If you have a problem with finances, you can stress about it, or you can ignore it, and wait for it to get better.  This can be called denial.  Hiding from the problem will not make it go away.  If you try to correct the problem on your own, your chances of success are not good.
If you take the same problem, and ask God to handle it, you have entered the realm of faith.  At this point find a few verses in the Bible where God is promising to take care of your concerns, and stand on them.  Believe in the result, and thank God for the answer.
The faith part is where many people get confused.  The word hope in biblical language means expectation of results.  Even though you turned the problem over to God, you can't just sit there and do nothing.  You must do what that little voice is telling you.  You must ask the Holy Spirit to confirm that the voice is His.  Peace in your heart is what you are looking for.
The problem you have must be recognized as true, but it has no right to exist in your life, if you are a believer.  God's truth overcomes what appears to be true.  Stand on His Word, receive the results in your heart, and it will happen in your life.
If you act in faith, and a friend says you are in denial, don't argue or get upset.  Just trust in God.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!

Dependence on God

It Is Written, one Peter 5:7, casting all your care upon him, for He cares for you.
After a number of years of hearing about casting your cares on the Lord, I decided that this might be too good to miss.  First thing I did, was asked the Holy Spirit about the exact meaning of the verse.
The best way to describe it, is that it is the complete reliance or dependence on God to take care of a problem we have.  It can be for a healing, finances, finding a job, you name it.
Most of us go through life worrying about everything especially, tomorrow.  We hear the news or watch it on TV, and we worry.  All of a sudden we develope the sky is falling mentality.  Many of the media sensationalize the news in order to get better ratings and as a result they scare most people, or make the situation worse.  Don't get me wrong, they do print some truth.  However if you are a child of God, you don't have to panic by whatever they say.
Another verse that fits this message is, "the just shall walk by faith and not by sight".  What this means is that we are to trust God to take care of everything, and not pay much attention to what is going on in the world.  So if you call it casting your cares, walking by faith, or dependence on God, it is all the same.
God wants to take care of His children.  He does the best job, when we tell Him the concern we have, and ask Him to handle it.   At that point we have to stay out of it.  God knows every little thing that has to happen to get us the best solution.  We must depend on God at all times.  It is not a problem for Him, because He wants to care for us, and after all He is God.
When you decide to depend on God, you'll find the results are much better, and you have far less stress.  Even the world situation will not cause you to panic.  It's like getting a whole brand-new life.  Have a blessed day.      Praise Lord!

Focus

It Is Written 1 John 2:6, he who says he abides in Him ought also to walk just as He walked.
Focus is defined as, the center of interest or activity.  I give the following example in order to help someone understand the message a little better.
I was browsing on YouTube, and came across a former Army sniper teaching a class in how to aim a rifle.  Bear with me here, this is not a lesson on how to shoot someone.
He showed a circle of stars set up as the numbers on a clock.  This circle also had a center point. Then he said, concentrate on that Centerpoint.  If you focus on that Centerpoint, or target, everything else seems to disappear.  They are still there, but you don't see them, because your attention is on one particular place.  I tried it, and was astounded, because he was right.
When we hear about Peter walking on the water toward Jesus, we find that he noticed the waves and began to sink.  If he had focused on Jesus only, he wouldn't have started to sink.  It would've worked like the example.
If you are praying about something, do it at a time, and in a place where you can focus on Jesus only. I believe that when you are so focused, your subconscious will show you a picture of the results happening in the spiritual, and it will then be transferred to the physical world as an answered prayer.
As all of us have found out at one time or another in our lives, what we direct all of our attention to, or as I call it focus on, that is what you will get. Focus on problems and you will continue to have problems, focus on positive things and you will see positive.  Have a blessed day.                 Praise the Lord!

Ordinary People

It Is Written, Psalm 145:18, the Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
The world is full of ordinary people.  Lifestyles are different for most people.   Different people also value things differently.  Lifestyles sometimes take people out of the category of ordinary.
One man chooses to make a lot of money, while someone else is happy with a steady job, and another is happy with no job at all.  Who knows why each of us chooses to do what we do.
In many countries you can make your own choices about what you believe, what you do, and how you act.  You can choose whether you believe in God or not, and which religion you prefer.  These are basic rights that each person has.  Your choices are usually governed by what your heart tells you.
With these choices however, comes many responsibilities.  Most people can't seem to accept that.  The idea that each person has equal rights is a good one, and is one that we all should strive to do.
Equal rights means no one is better than someone else.  We should not judge another by what we think or do.  We should not force our opinions on someone else, just as we don't want someone to force opinions on us. If for example, someone is praying in the park, no matter what religion, you don't have to feel offended, just move on.
In our touchy, politically correct society, you almost feel that you need approval in order to breathe.  People get offended by things they are not forced to take part in.  Seems kind of ridiculous doesn't it ?
All of us can make this world a much less stressful place, if we judge ourselves, not each other.  If you don't believe God exists, when someone else does, so what.  You both have the right to have your own beliefs.
One last point.  The rights of whoever it is, should not be at the expense of someone else's rights, or hurt them.  If we all mind our own business and remember that the world does not revolve around us, the world could be a much more peaceful place for all of us.  Have a blessed day.                   Praise the Lord!

Take Dominion

It Is Written, Genesis 1:27-28, so God created man in His own image;  in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply;  fill the earth and subdue it;  have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
This my friends was a mandate from God.  We became His agent on this earth, to rule in His absence.  Dominion in Hebrew and Greek means;  to be master, rule, have jurisdiction, subjugate, dominate.
This role was to last as long as man was faithful to God.  This was lost with the fall of Adam, but came back to us with Jesus victory over satan.
Just think about what this means.  We are to continue God's work in Jesus name.  It is like when God gave the Hebrews the promised land.  God told them to take it, and they fell far short of God's plan.  We must follow what God told us.  If we did, the world would not be as evil and lawless as it is.
Starting today, follow God's original mandate.  Obey Him, and rule your world.  When you pray take dominion over the problem in Jesus name, and proclaim the results.  Dominion is God's word, so it must be true.  This dominion is over health, weather, finances, everything, including satan. You're the boss in Jesus name, now begin to act like it.  Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

The Super Prayer

It Is Written, Romans 8:26, likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.  For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
When it comes to prayer, many people stumble.  Some don't know how to pray, even if they know what they want to pray about.  Many wrestle with the problem of believing what they are praying for.
Another problem some have, is that their religion limits God, by denying that things like healing are for today.  Some religions don't teach much about the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, if they even mention Him at all. Many religions don't recognize the power of praying in tongues.
As all of us know, or should know by now, our God is an Almighty, a loving, living God.  As such He wants the best for those who love Him.  The new covenant brought about by Jesus is better than the old covenant, because it brings grace into the picture, among other things.
Ask yourself this question.  If Jesus healed everyone who asked 2000 years ago, why wouldn't He heal today?  Why would we put limits on our God who has limitless love and power?
Jesus knew man would need all the help he could get.  When Jesus ascended into Heaven, he sent the same Holy Spirit to help and guide us, that raised Jesus from the dead.  We are to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and allow Him to help us receive the blessings God has for us.
When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, we are given access to the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  1 Corinthians chapter 12.  It is a fact that the Holy Spirit knows we have problems praying as we should. ( See the opening verse.) When we tell the Holy Spirit what we want to pray for, and ask Him to pray through our spirits, He does.  We don't have to worry about getting it right.
When the Holy Spirit prays through our spirit, it is without a doubt, a perfect prayer that goes straight through to God.  We show our faith to have our prayer answered, by the fact that we turn it over to the Holy Spirit.  Prayer does not get more powerful than that.
Joseph Prince and a number of other top preachers, have books and CDs teaching all about the Holy Spirit and praying in tongues.  Your prayer life will get to where you will see miracles, and your faith will grow.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!

God Speaks

It Is Written, Isaiah 41:10, fear not, for I am with you;  be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Has God ever talk to you?  Have any of your friends or relatives ever heard God?  Chances are your answer to both questions is no.  Do you believe God speaks to anyone?  This time the answer might be maybe.
The fact is, God speaks to anyone who will listen.  You must be open to the idea that you can hear from God.  God speaks in different ways, so we must be aware.
God speaks the most through His Word, the Bible.  You can find verses to answer any question or problem.  If you're not familiar with the Bible yet, you can go online to a free website called topical Bible.  There are hundreds of words or phrases listed alphabetically, many verses for each word.
Another way God speaks to us is to our hearts.  That quiet little voice inside you is God talking to you.  When you hear that voice, ask the Holy Spirit to confirm that it is God.  Then follow His advice.
You can also hear from other sources.  This particular incident really did happen recently.  We had a tough decision to make, so we prayed about it on Saturday.  Sunday morning while reading the daily devotional God gave us some insight in the devotional.  Sunday night, the same day, Joel Osteen confirmed and added to the message on the TV show.  The next day Monday morning we put Joseph Prince on TV for the last 15 minutes of his show.  More confirmation.  The next day Tuesday morning an evangelist was on the Kenneth Copeland show, and put the finishing touch on the message.  So when we put all the pieces together it really did give us the perfect answer and total peace.
Many times an answer comes from only one source.  When you hear and have peace in your heart, you know you have the answer.  It will agree with the Word.  So just pay attention, and ask the Holy Spirit, and relax. You will get an answer that will solve the problem and give you peace.  It's in the Word so it must be true.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!
