Hurt feelings
Ephesians 4: 32, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Our message today is about something that causes the most grief among people. This problem also causes trouble among countries when leaders take offense to another country's leader.
So what is this great offense that causes so much grief and turmoil in the world, and in our private lives. Believe it or not it all boils down to hurt feelings. When emotions are in charge, you can count on nothing but disaster whether it is between you and a friend, you and your boss, or your country against another.
Some people almost never feel hurt, while others feel hurt by all kinds of things. If you are someone who lives in a constant state of hurt feelings, it would be a good idea to take a good look at what hurts you and why.
A person who subconsciously feels that the world revolves around them is a likely candidate for being hurt. A self-centered person feels rejection when someone disagrees with them, because it attacks their pride. Pride is one of the deadly sins.
Proverbs 28: 25, He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper.
The fact is when you take a look at all of the things that make us feel that we are hurt, or being persecuted, or nobody likes us, we must realize that things can change, but it might require that we change.
Take a good look at what you do every day. Think about one particular thing each day and ask yourself if Jesus would be hurt by it. A good one might be, do you live like you love Him?
Work on your problem each day until you get a positive answer. One test would be, how are your relationships going? Are they getting better or worse? It would be a good idea for each of us to focus more on Jesus and less on ourselves.
Remember this, pride, strife, anger, are all demonic. You can't be a true follower of Christ if you're following the way the devil wants you to act. Put everything in God's hands and follow Him. You will be amazed to see what it is like to live without overly tender feelings.
Colossians 3: 13. Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must forgive.
Remember this, all conflict, strife, and trouble, must include at least two people. Follow our Lord Jesus Christ and refuse to be one of them. God b\Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves you.
Prayer of Salvation.
My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your Stripes I was Healed, and your Blood washed away my sins. Your Death and Resurrection made my Salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal Savior. Thank You Lord
Amen!
Praise The Lord!
