My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Keep Trusting

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

Every single believer gets discouraged once in a while, especially new believers. Most new believers are looking to learn about Jesus, and how the authority Jesus gave us works.

The Bible is the number one source to get to know Jesus. However, many people are intimidated by it, so they find excuses to avoid studying. Many of these people look to preachers on TV to explain everything. Many of these preachers do a very good job in the way they teach and make everything pretty plain.

Psalm 32: 10, many sorrows shall be to the wicked, but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.

We look at Jesus promises in the Bible, and they are wonderful. It seems simple, but it takes faith. We tell ourselves that Jesus does not, and cannot lie, So what He says must be true. Simple right? Wrong. Faith requires believing without seeing in the natural. That my friends takes patience as well as faith.

Isaiah 26: 3, you will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

You pray for something for weeks, nothing seems to happen, because satan stepped in at the beginning to plant doubt and fear in your mind. As time goes on it may get harder to believe, but don't get discouraged. Many times, while you are still struggling, your answer came, but not in the way you expected. satan tries to hide it from you to cause you to doubt and be afraid. Jesus always keeps His word, so trust in that.

As we know, the apostles lived with Jesus for three years, and they still had doubts and discouragement, especially after Jesus died. Jesus didn't condemn them, and He doesn't condemn us.

When you feel nothing is happening with your prayers, or you start to feel impatient or weak, or even like you want to forget it all, and do it your way. Go into a private place and tell the Lord how you feel, then listen for His voice in your heart. He will never leave you or forsake you. God Bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your Stripes I was healed and your Blood washed away my sins. Your Death and Resurrection made my Salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal Savior. Thank You Lord

Amen!

God's Promises Sunday

Hurt feelings

Ephesians 4: 32, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Our message today is about something that causes the most grief among people. This problem also causes trouble among countries when leaders take offense to another country's leader.

So what is this great offense that causes so much grief and turmoil in the world, and in our private lives. Believe it or not it all boils down to hurt feelings. When emotions are in charge, you can count on nothing but disaster whether it is between you and a friend, you and your boss, or your country against another.

Some people almost never feel hurt, while others feel hurt by all kinds of things. If you are someone who lives in a constant state of hurt feelings, it would be a good idea to take a good look at what hurts you and why.

A person who subconsciously feels that the world revolves around them is a likely candidate for being hurt. A self-centered person feels rejection when someone disagrees with them, because it attacks their pride. Pride is one of the deadly sins.

Proverbs 28: 25, He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper.

The fact is when you take a look at all of the things that make us feel that we are hurt, or being persecuted, or nobody likes us, we must realize that things can change, but it might require that we change.

Take a good look at what you do every day. Think about one particular thing each day and ask yourself if Jesus would be hurt by it. A good one might be, do you live like you love Him?

Work on your problem each day until you get a positive answer. One test would be, how are your relationships going? Are they getting better or worse? It would be a good idea for each of us to focus more on Jesus and less on ourselves.

Remember this, pride, strife, anger, are all demonic. You can't be a true follower of Christ if you're following the way the devil wants you to act. Put everything in God's hands and follow Him. You will be amazed to see what it is like to live without overly tender feelings.

Colossians 3: 13. Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must forgive.

Remember this, all conflict, strife, and trouble, must include at least two people. Follow our Lord Jesus Christ and refuse to be one of them. God b\Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your Stripes I was Healed, and your Blood washed away my sins. Your Death and Resurrection made my Salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal Savior. Thank You Lord

Is Truth Missing

2 Timothy 4: 4, they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables.

Truth is a precious thing. Many times, truth is difficult, because it can make us vulnerable, or just plain cost us something. Not telling or hearing the truth can cost us even more.

Many times, hearing the truth disturbs us, because it isn't what we want to hear. Because of this, we sometimes put a spin on something and try to rationalize it so it fits what we think.

If you need to make a decision about anything, you cannot make a good decision based on fantasy. Facts are critical to everything. If you love someone, you tell them the truth. By telling them the truth, you are helping them to avoid things that can really hurt them. Not telling someone the truth is a sign of disrespect, and when truth is found out it can be devastating to the one who did not tell the truth, as well as the one who heard the lie.

Proverbs 12: 22, lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, and those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Romans 1: 22, who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

People do not realize that when they see something wrong such as abortion and say nothing against it or do anything against it, they are in fact approving of it. You can even go so far as to say that withholding the truth, also makes you guilty of lying.

Sometimes people look at the world and see many things that are done in the name of a person's rights and delude themselves into thinking that all of these people cannot be wrong, so it must be right. The big problem with many people is they want to fit in at any cost.

The word of God, the Bible is still a book of love from God to us, and tells us how to get back to Him, and lead a good life. We cannot bend God's truths to fit what we think. Truth cannot bend. We can't have our own interpretation of what we think God would approve of or disapprove of. Saying my God would not do that, is fantasy and blasphemy.

The truth my friends is what God says it is. God doesn't hate anyone; he just hates what they do. His word says so. One more thing to think about. If we had a book that said every sin we can think of was OK, because a loving God will forgive us even if we don't confess it, it would make many people very happy.

The problem is when we die and face judgment, we find out what we read or did was not the truth, and we're going to hell. At that point, how much would we wish that we had followed the real truths by listening to God's word, and not the word of everyone else.

God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves you.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

 The Value Of Prayer

Philippians 4: 6, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

There is an old saying that says, if you want something you never had- you have to do something you've never done. The truth behind this saying is undeniable. It can be applied to many things in your life, especially prayer.

There are many scoffers out there who think that prayer is useless. They are so convinced that they give up before they even start. Many of them never had the right idea about prayer in the first place, so naturally they are disappointed when what they call a prayer does not get answered.

1 John 5:14-15, Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

In order to ask anything of anyone, you must be pretty sure that the one you are asking is capable of delivering what you want. Why is it we trust other human beings, and not God Almighty Himself?

The biggest mistake 90% of the people make is they do not read the Bible. Without reading the Bible you cannot know our Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. You also will never find what is a secret hidden from those who do not seek an answer.

The Bible tells us the truth about who we are dealing with, what they are capable of, and what part we play in the whole idea of prayer. When you really know who you are asking, the fact that they can deliver what they promise, and you stop there and do not pursue, sadly it is your fault.

God does not hide the truth from us. He tells us He loves us with unconditional love. He forgives our sins if we truly repent. He gives us salvation through Jesus Christ. We receive the helper, the Holy Spirit to help guide us through this journey called life.

If any of us knew what God has waiting for us, we would be shocked. All of us must stop comparing Almighty God to anyone we know. If we could live a billion years, we could never figure out what God cannot deliver to those He loves. He loves you too, so don't wait any longer. Start getting what God has to Bless you with. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the Cross for me. By your Stripes I was Healed and your Blood washed away my sins. God's Promises Sunday

The Power Of Prayer

Mark 11: 24, Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you received them, and you will have them.

One of the most common doubts that many Christians have, is whether or not prayer works. Many preachers encourage those who have received answers to prayer to tell people about them.

There are many people who would doubt an answer to prayer if it fell on their head, but those who have faith realize that without a doubt prayers do get answered. I tell this little personal story because I want people to know that prayers being answered really do happen.

I have had a personal experience very recently, that really was a boost to my faith as well as the few people that I told it to. A month or two ago I had an attack of eczema. It got to the point where I had about 80% of my body covered with a rash.

The first thing most of us do is what I did, I looked for some product that promised relief. Needless to say, that didn't happen. My problem was so bad that when I fell asleep, the itching was so bad that it woke me up. I didn't know what to do. In a very short time, I remembered the fact that taking problems to the Lord is essential.

I spoke to the Lord about healing; I claimed it and believed it. Nothing happened. As things seemed to be getting worse. I stepped up the time I spent talking to the Lord. I was trying very hard to believe about a healing, when every day it seemed to be getting worse.

Luke 17:19, And He said to him, Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.

About two weeks ago I was taking a shower. As the water was hitting my body I had a feeling that the only way I could explain it is by using the word ecstasy. That is not an exaggeration. Everything felt so good I felt like staying there forever with the water directed all over me.

Shortly after my shower, I told my wife that I believed what I was feeling was the power of God washing my body clean. She thought so too. The next day my situation was better, but that's as far as it went.

I guess I needed a little boost for my faith because the Lord put it in my heart to find a moisturizer rather than looking for a medical type of solution. I believe He directed me to the one I did get.

The next day, I was about 90% healed, and by the end of the day, it was 100%. I don't know of any other way to explain what happened other than the fact that the Holy Spirit touched me with the healing power on my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My message to everyone that reads this, is believe what the Bible says no matter how tough it gets. Sometimes it isn't easy, because satan tries to nullify God's work. Stand firm and win.

Your Death and Resurrection made by Salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal Savior. Thank You Lord

Don't Blame God

Proverbs 5: 21, for the ways of men are before the eyes of the Lord and He ponders all his paths.

From the time we were born, God takes care of each of us. He had a plan for us before we were even born, and that plan was perfect for us, and would lead us back to Him for eternity.

All of us at times, reject God's plan, by trying to do things our way. He allows us to do what we think in order to learn that we need Him. Even while we carry on our foolishness, He still blesses us, and sends us wake up calls.

Those of us who read the Bible, or listen to preachers and read their books, sometimes go astray without even realizing it. There are many verses in the Bible that tell us what we can achieve when we pray for in Jesus name. Preachers repeat these verses, and it all seems simple, so we pray and nothing happens.

As humans we have a tendency to blame God for everything that goes wrong. We question Him all the time, in anger, self pity, and wounded pride, and on it goes. We are fortunate that He loves us and doesn't strike us dead.

Most of us miss the part that tells us that when we pray, we are to do it with Thanksgiving, as well as faith. We must realize that the bonehead decisions we make, are made by us outside of God's plan, so we should repent and look at ourselves for the failures.

Sometimes we get upset and question God because our Prayers are not answered the way we expected, or not at all. We feel that God did not keep His word, so we stop praying, and get angry.

For Prayer to be successful we need a relationship with God that is ongoing. When we are close to God, we are able to hear His voice guiding us. Many times, we see that if we do it our way it might take us away from God because of things like pride. Other times we're not yet ready spiritually. He will not allow us to do things that would be detrimental to our spiritual life.

Remember, God is not our slave to do our bidding whenever we snap our fingers. If we don't know Him, He will not know us. He is God, we are not. Let's put the blame where it belongs and that my friends is us.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Waiting  On The Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 12: 7-11, Different manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to 1 is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as he wills.

Have you ever seen a preacher in person or on television, that had a healing ministry? Did you envy him or her even a little bit? Did you really want to do the same things they were doing? Many people would give anything they had in order to do what they saw the preacher doing.

The first thing you must do is have absolute faith, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We all know that God has a plan for each of us, but sometimes we don't know what that plan is

As we read in today's opening verse, The life of a true believer is guided by the Holy Spirit. Most of us would like to do the things that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did when He was here, and all the things the apostles did in His name.

Everything the apostles did was a plan for their life that Almighty God had envisioned before they were even born. If we trust God and commit our lives to Him, we are guided by the Holy Spirit. That Holy Spirit will give us what we need when we need it.

I believe that in the eyes of our Lord, everyone has different jobs as dictated by God Almighty and enabled by the Holy Spirit at the proper time and place. Since that appears to be the case then no one is higher or lower in God's opinion, if they are doing what they are supposed to do.

Do you remember hearing about our bodies. Each part of our body is important for the good of the entire body. Every part of the body cannot be the brain, the nose, the hands, or the feet. Each one has to exist in the function they perform in order to make the whole thing work. That again was designed by God.

So as each of us goes through life, we may or may not be presented with a special opportunity from the Holy Spirit. The important thing in life, is to commit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and follow as you are LED. Incidentally, if the Holy Spirit has a job for you to do, you will not miss it, and you will be provided with everything you need to fulfill that mission. God's plan and God's timing is what it's all about. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

It's Unfortunate

Matthew 13: 13, therefore I speak to them in parables; Because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

There are literally dozens of verses in the Bible that talk about people not being aware of Almighty God. Most people know that the earth and the entire universe was created by God Almighty. So why is it that in our daily lives we do not act like He's even there.

All of these things can be explained in part by a couple of verses that I found while reading the Bible.

Isaiah 56: 11, and the dogs are greedy, they are not satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, each one to his unjust gain, to the last one.

Isaiah 29: 16, you turn things around! Shall the Potter be considered as equal with the clay, that what is made would say to its maker, he did not make me: or what is formed say to him who formed it, he has no understanding?

You may be wondering what has anything to do with these last couple of verses. The simple thing is the average person totally neglects God and tries to be his own God without even realizing it.

Most of us hear the words regularly, but they just bounce off of us. A case in point was something that I recognized in myself a number of years ago. I decided to do things without ever even thinking about what God thought about it.

Even worse than doing that, is that when God acted in my life I did not recognize it, and I did not thank Him for it. That went on for years. I was pretty much like these verses tell the story. The fact of the matter is Almighty God not only created everyone and everything, He loved His creation unconditionally.

Since almighty God loves every person, He wants to see all of them do well. The purpose of the Bible was the written word of God to help people do just that. Unfortunately, human nature goes against what God wants ever since Adam and Eve were thrown out of the garden of Eden.

So here we are in this day and age, with satan basically in charge of what goes on among men. Couple that with free will and you have a condition that is very dangerous.

Ephesians 5: 20, giving thanks always for all things to God the father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

One thing we must all understand right from the start. No one is special to God above everyone else. He loves each of us the same even though we don't appreciate or show any gratitude for what He does for us.

The reason this message started out the way it did it's kind of laying the groundwork for the main topic of gratitude to our Lord, and what Jesus Christ our Lord did for each of us. So, until next time, God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the Cross for me. By your Stripes I was healed and your Blood washed away sins. Your Death and Resurrection made my Salvation possible. I confess my sins and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal Savior. Thank You Lord

Gratitude is Essential

1 Corinthians 15: 56-57, the sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There are many people in the world today, probably the majority, who do not think there is anything to be grateful for. This is a mistake that many people do not even realize. Most of us were brought up to be thankful when someone gives us something. While that is true it is more than that.

Almighty God works in our lives every single day. There are things He does for us that make us feel good, but we don't associate it with our Lord. There are also things that happen during the day that we are not happy about, and we don't realize it is for our own good.

The reason for gratitude every single day to Almighty God is that no matter what happens it is for our good. You might be asking why should I be grateful when things don't go the way I want them to go? The answer is simple, Almighty God is behind it.

You will find that as years go by you inevitably will look back at things that happened in your life, and you will realize that the times you were kept from doing something was actually for your own good. You probably didn't recognize it at the time, but the day will come when you will.

Almighty God is always working in our lives 24 hours a day, every second of every minute, He is there watching over us and trying to steer us in the right direction. Whether we listen to Him or not is up to us.

The Bible tells us, and I have found out, that if you commit your day to the Lord and absolutely put everything that happens into His hands, the outcome will be a good one. You may not think so in that particular day but there will come a day where you will see just how much He did for you. Let God be God!

Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

When you commit yourself and your day to the Lord, you are giving Him authority and responsibility for you. If you do not take God into the equation and go about doing things your way, then you are totally responsible for what happens, and have absolutely no business blaming God for anything.

Psalm 37:5, commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.

Always be thankful no matter what. About 50 years ago I read a book entitled Praise the Lord Anyway. That book changed my life. I started out skeptical, but I soon found out the truth of it.

So, my next question to you is, do you want to be a winner, or a loser? The answer should be obvious. God is always a winner and if you follow Him, you are a winner. satan on the other hand is nothing but a broken down loser and following him makes you a loser. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the Cross for me. By your Stripes I was Healed and your Blood washed away my sins.
