My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Jesus Loves Sinners

John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son and whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Lord Jesus Christ came on a rescue mission because we could not save ourselves. The big question has been, why did He do it?

Let’s go back to the beginning. We were created to love and serve the Lord, our Heavenly Father. We were created as His children, so when Adam and Eve sinned, we became separated from our Heavenly Father.

1 Corinthians 15:22, For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

When people populated the earth, they were totally ignorant of sin, because there was nothing to tell them what to do or not to do. They made up deities in order to explain many things in their lives. They made up rules and regulations to live by if possible. As time went on, it got more and more chaotic. getting farther and farther from God.

At that point God sent prophets to teach the people and to warn them that they were not doing anything according to God’s plan. The religions at the time didn’t make things any better. God was losing His children.

They couldn’t wash away their sins no matter what they did. Some of them didn’t even realize they were sinning. They had no clue as how to obey God, and what the outcome would be. Enter the Lord Jesus Christ born like a man, subject to all man’s problems and temptations, but still God.

The Lord Jesus Christ lived with and taught sinners about God, showing them by example how to live. Since they had free will, Jesus was the only way they could be forgiven and receive salvation, but they had to choose it. Jesus knew what He would have to do, and what it would cost Him. He understood that His Fathers plan for their redemption was the only answer. Since Jesus was without sin, He had to take on everyone’s sin in order to give them eternal life. They had to accept it though.

Ephesians 2:8-9, For by Grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast.

It broke Jesus’ heart when they rejected Him because they were actually condemning themselves.

The Lord Jesus knew exactly how life affected these people, because temporarily, He was one of them. Don’t forget these people were brought up following the law, so it was very hard for most of them to give up the old ways. They had to trust someone they really didn’t know after spending their lives with deceivers.

Romans 5:8, God demonstrates His own love for us in this; while we were still Sinners, Christ died for us.

When you are saved, you want all of those that you love to be saved too. You know what will happen to someone who rejects Jesus, and it breaks your heart. We can’t possibly know how much more Jesus felt when one of His Father’s children chose not to be saved.

I believe it’s for this reason that forgiveness applies to even the world’s worst sinners. There is no sin or amount of sin or kind of sin that Jesus’ blood cannot wash away. Anyone who repents and accepts Jesus Christ as his savior and what he did, will be saved. It is a promise of God. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

Prayer of Salvation.

Lord Jesus Christ, I am a sinner. I know you suffered and died on the cross in order to wash away my sins and to save me. I acknowledge my sins and I Repent of those sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior. I believe and I receive the gift of Salvation. Thank you, Lord Jesus!
