It Is Written, Proverbs 28:26, whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
There has never been, or ever will be, a human being who has never made a bad decision. Why is that? There are a number of reasons for that.
One of the top reasons is making decisions based on feelings, or emotional situations. Decisions made this way are almost always bad.
Another reason for bad decisions is haste. Quick, seat of the pants decisions are dangerous, and usually costly.
Not having all of the facts, or facts based on bad information, produce bad results.
When we make decisions, we are at the mercy of unforeseen people, conditions, events, or even timing. Again, impossible to know all of the variables and how they affect each other.
How do we make good decisions? If you read the verse from above, you should expect that there is a biblical answer.
As I often say, and I know it sounds repetitive, the fact is that most Christians do not realize that they have the Holy Spirit as a helper. Get in the habit of not making any decisions about anything, until you talk to the Holy Spirit. Quietly wait for an answer in faith. He always comes through. Sometimes it takes a few seconds, sometimes it takes a couple of minutes, but believe me no matter how long it takes the answer is worth it, and saves a lot of grief. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
