The Duty Of A Christian
We are coming up to the most important election in the history of our country. This election will decide the future of the United States and maybe even the world.
God himself told His people to choose their leaders wisely. We have the same responsibilities. We cannot afford to be lazy or uncaring. All good people must vote, but far too many Christians don't. If we want a country that rejects God, that is a good way to accomplish it.
Look around you and see what is going on. Don't just listen to one opinion. Hate, lies, corruption, violence and mobs are becoming common, is that what you want?
If you are having trouble deciding who to vote for, a good way to help you is to list your values and wants on a piece of paper. Look at which candidates are running in the election, then check what they do or have done in the past. Remember, words lie and actions don't. So don't let some soothing words deceive you.
We must all check out our potential leaders with an open mind, not by what our friends or the media say. The internet is a great place to find out what things are really about. it is too important to just take someone's word for it, do your own investigating, and put aside all your preconceived notions. Vote by what your values tell you. Remember this, the only perfect way to vote, is to sincerely ask God to guide you into His choice.
God bless you and your family.
Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus loves you.
Prayer of Salvation.
Lord Jesus, please forgive all of my sins, and come into my heart as my personal savior. I want to serve only you.
Praise the Lord!
Amen
