Called Last

It is written, Matthew 20:1-16,  the parable of the laborers.
When most of us read this parable we make the immediate conclusion that the landowner is unfair. We decided that if any of the laborers had any brains, they would never work for him again.
Jesus told this parable to ordinary people who knew what it was like to work in the fields all day. The one thing that separates the opinions of the workers is what time of the day they started.
If you started early, you would undoubtedly be angry about pay and really be upset with your boss who as far as you're concerned was about as unjust as he could be.  If you started late, you probably would think that that same boss was the best one you ever worked for.
Salvation is pretty much the same way.  Some are called when they are five years old.  Some of these people spend their life serving God.  Along the way they probably help many others find Jesus, helped the poor, and reflected the light of Jesus to many people for many years.  Their reward is probably eternity with Jesus.
Others came to Jesus at various ages.  Some even came to Jesus when they were dying.  These also are eligible for eternity with Jesus.  Is that fair?  Yes.  God does not operate in time as we do, He just goes by results, because He loves His children.  Looking at it from strictly a Christian point of view I doubt if anyone wherever they fell in that range of ages would feel cheated because they have one thing in common, they all love God.
If we look at a lifetime as a speck of sand in the universe full of sand, it would be as nothing and that would not even begin to give you an idea of what it would be in eternity.  Have a blessed day.  Praise the Lord!
Remember Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me.  Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You Lord
 Amen
