Receive the Holy Spirit 2 Ways

It Is Written,1 John 4:13, by this we know we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His spirit.
There is quite a bit of confusion about the Holy Spirit, even among many Christians. There are in fact two ways to receive the Holy Spirit, and  both are evidenced differently.
Everyone receives the Holy Spirit when they accept Jesus Christ as Savior.  At that time we receive what is called the fruit of the Spirit. These fruits as they are called, identify us as Christians to unbelievers. The Holy Spirit comes automatically at salvation.
The fruits of the spirit are found in Galatians 5:22-23. They are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If you aren't sure what some of these mean, do not use a regular dictionary. Google Bible Questions Answered, and you will find reliable sites to explain them.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are found in1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Some people say that they stopped when the apostles died. Not true. There is plenty of evidence they still exist if you look around you.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is received by choice. You must be baptized by your pastor or another real Christian. The gifts are, the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, healings by the Holy Spirit, working of miracles by the spirit, teaching, leadership, giving, mercy, and faith, prophecy, discerning of spirits, and tongues which is the Holy Spirit speaking through you, the interpretation of tongues.
Unlike the fruits which everyone receives at salvation. The gifts are given to individuals as the Holy Spirit sees fit. The gifts are usually given one at a time for a specific purpose, as the Holy Spirit helps you in whatever He calls you to do. I must add this little caveat. If you do not believe in the power of the Holy Spirit working through you, you will never experience any of the gifts. Faith is the key to everything in a Christian life. Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart as my personal Savior.
Thank You
Amen
