Greetings My Friends;
One of the most abused words in the Bible is blessing. Most people do not know the true meaning of the word. Man-made doctrines and misguided definitions are so common that we even say bless you when someone sneezes.
The Hebrew definition of blessing is, beautiful, best, better, bountiful, joyful, kindly, loving, merry, pleasant, prosperity, sweet, wealth, and to be well. God's definition is a declaration which empowers us to prosper, and releases the power to bring the blessings to pass.
When we bless someone we are in effect passing His power through us to achieve in the material world what has already happened in the spiritual world. If you analyze any blessing that God gave to man, and include these definitions, you can see how powerful the blessings are.
Because believers are saturated with the Spirit of God, He expects us to pass blessings and love to other people in His name.
A blood covenant was more than a contract. God always swore by Himself when He made a blood covenant with people like Adam and Abraham. The blood covenant involved pieces of sacrificed animals and their blood. The persons making the covenant walked between the pieces in a figure 8 and swore to the other party that if they, the one speaking, ever broke the blood covenant, that his blood should be as the animals that were sacrificed. That is the best definition I have found so far.
As you can see, blessings and blood covenants were not to be taken lightly. The Lord has empowered us to bless other people in His name, and He will back it up. If you love someone, bless them in Jesus name, and realize all of the great things you are pronouncing over them. All of those blessings exist in the spirit world at the time you say, and will manifest in the material world.
When you give your word to someone, treat it as though it was a blood covenant. No matter what, do not go back on your word. You are using Jesus name when you give the blessing, or you make a covenant, so do it the way He expects.
God Bless You And Remember
Jesus Loves You
Prayer of Salvation;
"Oh God in Heaven, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead. I receive Your Word, and I repent of sin. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth, cleansed and washed in the Word and in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen"
