Honor God

1 Corinthians 10: 31, Therefore whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

If you want to honor God Almighty, but do not know how to start, consider the following verses. 

Proverbs 3: 9, honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase.

Colossians 3:17, And whatever you do in Word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Proverbs 14:31, he who oppresses the poor reproaches his maker, but he who honors him has mercy on the needy.

Galatians 5: 22-23, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, (patience) kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control period against such there is no law.

When it comes right down to it, honoring God it's easier than most of us think. You honor Him when you act the way He wants you to act. When you are saved you receive the Holy Spirit. Because of this gift of the Holy Spirit, we have a list from the previous verse with suggestions of what we should act like. Every time we do one of these things we are honoring our creator.

Every morning when you get up: commit yourself and your day to the honor and glory of Jesus Christ. Then go about your day asking the Holy Spirit to help you reflect the light of Jesus to everyone you meet.

When you go to bed at night, you can thank God for allowing you to follow His will and honor Him. It doesn't get complicated, just follow your heart. God Bless you and your Family. Praise The Lord!

Doing the will of God

Philippians 4:6- 7, be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Many Christians ask Almighty God to help them live according to His will. They pray for it, because they mean it. They find Bible verses to back up their prayers but are still disappointed when they don't receive a message from God.

Philippians 4: 13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I know how they feel, because at one time that described me. Every day I would commit myself and everything I did to doing God's will. I asked our Father Almighty God to take total control of my life and everything in it. I figured that that was the safe thing to do. It seemed like nothing really changed; I was still in a spiritual vacuum.

Isaiah 26: 3, you will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Because he trusts in You.

In recent years, I faced at least six or seven actual life or death situations. Those times, I felt peace I've never experienced before. I felt the presence of God each time.

Through those times until now, I feel contentment about myself and everything in my life. Just as the Bible describes. We spend time talking about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and read the Bible.

After all of that, we finally figured out that the total contentment and trust in God was because we were living according to His will. The thing we must all remember and that includes myself, is that faith is not any motion that pops up like some kind of an explosion of faith. Faith and doing the will of God is really quite simple. If you take the words of Christ Himself and abide in Him and ask Him in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ to help you live according to His will, that is exactly what will happen. When I finally stopped looking for answers I found what I was looking for because he led me there.

Trusting in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and giving your life to Him, you will get to the point where you know you are abiding in Him and He is abiding in you. The next step is ask in his name and you will receive. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

Being a Christian

Today I would like to talk to you about our common problem that almost every Christian experiences. I have talked to many people and experienced it myself a number of times. 

After you have been a Christian for a while, you may start to feel that your faith isn't quite as strong in your heart as it used to be. It gets to the point where you even wonder if you are really saved. The fact is every Christian experiences that at times, including the most famous preachers in history.

As you know by now Christians like anyone else go through life with problems. So, it stands to reason that you would also begin to question whether or not you still have what you once felt you had.

satan is at work all the time and one of his favorite things to do is to antagonize Christians. He is a master of deceit as proved by what he said to Eve. My advice to you, as my advice was to me, it is time to check in with Almighty God.

I have found through experience that whenever I start to doubt or question anything that is going on in my life, the best thing I can do is to go to the word of God. Almighty God is the answer in every situation.

When you were saved, the Lord Jesus Christ came into your heart and brought the Holy Spirit with Him. In the name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, you can be sure that your salvation is sealed.

The Lord Jesus Christ said that if you abide in Him, and His words abide in you, ask what you will, and it will be granted to you. If you remember that verse, doubt about your salvation will vanish.

John 15: 7, If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

On the other end of this problem is the fact that some people feel they have everything figured out about being a Christian. When you reach that point you will find out that Almighty God will give you a wakeup call. The wakeup call might be a harsh reminder that you need to get back into the word, and count on Him for everything.

So, when you put it all together, if you stick with your Bible, read the words and think about what they mean, trusting in the Lord at all times, you are secure, and you can ignore whatever satan tries to tell you. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Worldly Ways

James 4: 4, Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enemy with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

If you really look at and think about the world, you will see many things if you are looking at everything with spiritual eyes.

Romans 12: 2, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

satan uses the world and its ways for many things. He shows you the so-called pleasures of the world to make you sin against God's word.

The pleasures of this world, like sex, money, and power, besides the obvious, are meant to become idols in your life, and replace Almighty God.

Sin is generally not going to jump out at you and say “beware, I am sin”. satan deceives today, just as he deceived Adam and Eve. He wants you to think about all of the so-called pleasures of the world so much, that you will forget about God.

The fact is my friends, you will not have peace, joy, and contentment, until you totally surrender yourself to God Almighty and put everything in His hands.

When you live in the world, there are so many things happening in these days of AI, that you cannot believe even your eyes. The best thing to do, get a steady diet of the word of God, talk to Him regularly, and do your best. He will guide you and help you, but you must let him. God Bless you and your family. Easy Does It

1 Peter 5: 7, Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

You may be thinking today's message has a strange title. It is different, but it is true. The way we go through life and how the ups and downs of life affect us, is up to each of us.

I can make this statement because I learned the hard way.

Philippians 4: 6-7, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The average person faces ups and downs every day. They experience anxiety, outright fear, and emotions that cause distress and plenty of failure. It doesn't matter if you are smart or not, the results are similar. Life can be like trying to put a 10,000 piece puzzle together in a pitch black room. Is there no answer?

James 1: 2-4, my brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Turn on the light. The light is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You do that by knowing Him, how much He loves you, what He did for you, His blessings, grace, and forgiveness. You can only know that by knowing who He really is.

The Bible tells us everything we need to know. When we ask Him to be our Savior, He fills us with Himself and the Holy Spirit.

Trials will come every once in a while, but if we give those problems to Him, He will help us. He fills us with so much peace, nothing can defeat us. You are never alone or without help. He is waiting for you. Take advantage of His offer while you still can. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

God's Promises Sunday

Each Day

Matthew 6: 34, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

This verse states a truth that most of us don't realize. If we are always thinking about tomorrow and beyond, we don't live today.

If we go through life living tomorrow, when tomorrow comes, we will miss it, because we will be living the next tomorrow. You can call that a wasted life I guess.

Luke 12: 20, But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul will be required of you, then whose will those things be which you have provided.

Another fact is, we may not have tomorrow. We don't know which day is our last. We must enjoy each day as it comes, for the Lord. Commit yourself, and your day to the will and plan of almighty God.

Another thought. It is more likely that the plan you have for tomorrow, probably will not happen. If you trust in God, He will direct your steps.

Proverbs 3: 5-6, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.

 Another example I like to use.  So if you have a dental appointment in two weeks, and you worry about it each day, you destroyed the day you are worrying and every day after that. If however you trust in God, each day is a gift, and the appointment could end up being a breeze. What sounds better to you?

I know thinking like that could be hard for a lot of people. I know it certainly was for me in the beginning, but after years of working at it for me there is no other way. I commit each day to the Lord as it comes, and I don't consider anything beyond that. God Bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Second Chances

 

Proverbs 16: 3, Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

Is there anyone among us that has not wished he could go back and undo past mess ups? Obviously, we can't. It helps if we can understand certain truths and move on.

Some mistakes were made because we didn't know about our savior. Today's verse for instance tells us that if we don't know who God is, we will struggle to have some meager kind of success, or more than likely total failure. The big thing we have to realize is that we have no control over anything. 

Ecclesiastes 9: 11, I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill,: but time and chance happened to them all.

Even people who know God mess up sometimes because they don't wait on His timing. The Bible is a book of instructions for life. If you were going to play any kind of a sports game, and you didn't know the rules, how could you play? Life is that way.

We are sure to mess up when we follow our own plans. God allows us to do that. Following the world is like intentionally doing something that will cause failure. Everything in life involves circumstances we cannot control or even know about.

Romans 12:2, Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Everyone can get a chance to get things right. Almighty God forgives whatever you did, if you ask Him. Since Almighty God forgives you, you must forgive yourself. Obviously, you cannot go back and change anything that has happened, but by trusting in God you can avoid future things that would make you regret later. So, in a way you are getting another chance.

When you accept the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can start all over and start doing things the right way. Your past is past, so a good idea is to follow the light that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you do you will not reach another point in your life where you look back and have regrets. Praying God's Will

1 John 5: 14-15, Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Most Christians, especially new Christians, know that prayer works, but they are unsure about the proper way to pray. Today's verse talks about praying according to God's will. How do we know what His will is? The Bible covers that pretty good.

Ezekiel 36: 26-27, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you will keep My judgments and do them.

When we are saved, we receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a guide, a helper, and an intercessor for us. He helps us and teaches us everything, including how to pray. When we want to pray according to God's will it is essential to work with the Holy Spirit because He is the key.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything gives thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

When we pray, we should ask the Holy Spirit to help us pray according to God's will. God puts desires in our hearts according to His will. If we ask the Holy Spirit to join our spirit in asking our Father, we will present the perfect prayer.

Romans 8: 26, likewise the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses. We do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

As you go through life praying as you should, your prayers will get stronger and stronger, and your faith will get stronger and stronger. It all ends up giving new meaning to your life.

With powerful prayers you can pray for other people, people you don't even know, like someone you see on the street, or even for somebody on the other side of the world. There is no limit of any kind on the power of sincere prayer. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Do You Wonder Why

John 20: 31, These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Have you ever wondered if God is real, or the Bible is true? Have you ever wondered which idea of how everything came about is the right answer?

If you look at evolution and how the earth came about from some magical process, you will soon see that it is all nonsense. Trillions and trillions of trillions of cells that work together and are able to replicate themselves is beyond even the strongest imagination.

If you look at the Bible and its story of creation, it is a different story. You see the results of creation everywhere you look. Do you really believe everything you see came about all by itself, or some cosmic accident?

People have tried to discredit God and the Bible ever since the Bible came to be. After years of study, and historical accounts, the brightest scholars in the world have come away with a belief in what the Bible says. Hundreds and hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled.

Ask Almighty God to open your heart and to the truth. Check it out for yourself, try to prove that the Bible is wrong. I'll tell you right now you will be wasting your time. If you read the messages we post, you will see quite a bit of scripture. Really think about what the verses are saying.

The words of Almighty God as written in the Bible, if followed and believed will lead you to salvation and eternal life. That is something evolution can't do

Romans 1: 20, For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and guidance, so that they are without excuse.

One last thing. Everything you see, feel, touch, is there by the grace of God because it was His will and His plan to begin with. It is for our benefit and eternal future. Take advantage of the blessing you were given. God Bless you and your family.

The Promises Of God

 

Jeremiah 29: 11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Would you like a life full of blessings? Peace and contentment in all circumstances? The answer is simple, if you allow your heart to convince your brain what the truth is.

The answer is easy, but hard. First you have to set time aside every day. Maybe something like 20 minutes before you go to bed, whenever you can squeeze it in. Grab your Bible, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you, and read what the Lord Jesus Christ said.

The Bible usually has Jesus’ words and promises in red. If your Bible does not have the red lettering, read a chapter of the New Testament, and write down what Jesus says.

If you are faithful and believe, you and your family will live a blessed life. Stick to it. All of us get lazy once in a while, but don't let that stop you. Here are some verses to get you started.

Philippians 4: 19, and my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus.

1 John 1: 9-11, he who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother, is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Romans 8: 28, and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

John 14: 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Perhaps the hardest part about faith is the fact that you have to believe without seeing. I found out a long time ago that instead of nitpicking every little thing in the Bible the best thing you can do is just believe. That may sound like something only a simple minded person would do, but if you really do trust in the Lord and have faith in His words you are a genius. God Bless you and your family.
