The Key

Romans 12:2, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 

How is your life going? Did you know that you have choices about most things in your life? You are never too old to start over.

The life we lead is determined by us. For instance, if you clutter your life up with all kinds of things, you can bet your life will be in constant chaos. Since the Lord God Almighty is not likely to bail us out of stupid decisions or actions, we must use our brains.

Let’s look at a few things that get us going in the right direction. Unlike the government, we must look at our income. We look at our income and figure out the cost of basics, like food, rent, and such. When you see what you have left, you decide how to use it.

We must look honestly at actual needs and wants. Where many people mess up is they look at wants as needs. This leads to all sorts of problems. If you are thinking all of this is too hard, it probably is if you are just counting on you.

Philippians 4:19, my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 16:3, commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

Consider the fact that our choices can cause circumstances which can actually be triggered by our actions. When it does it can be a real nightmare for the rest of your life if you allow it.

To avoid most of these difficulties we must start with Almighty God. The Bible tells us the way to living a good life.

Psalms 37:5, Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

The Bible tells us about who Almighty God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are. You will see that they love you and want to help you. They even tell you how. Your part is to believe and trust.

If you commit yourself and everything you do for the honor and Glory of Our Father God, the Holy Spirit will help and guide you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer is a sign of faith, so you have a little start right there. Do it God’s way, as He leads, and you and your family will be blessed.

There is no trick to living a good life. Just follow the instructions, forget what everybody else is doing, and follow God’s way. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Life Is A Journey

Genesis 2:7, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathe into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being.

For just a few minutes let’s look at life as a journey home. Imagine you wake up in a strange place and have no remembrance of anything before now. You feel confused because your heart tells you your home is somewhere else, but you don’t know where that is.

There are so many people out there and they all have their own opinions of where home is and how to get there. You realize they all can’t be right, so you must figure it out.

The general opinion is the world is it. The other opinion is a place called Heaven. People look at the Heaven idea as a place where everyone goes when they die. Others feel you must earn your way, but they don’t know how much is enough. And of course, you have those who feel when you die it’s all over.

At this point how can all of them be right? So, you say to yourself, how can evil people end up in the same place as good people? That’s not fair!

Doing work to get to Heaven is a problem too. How much, what kind of work, or how long? People do not all die at the same age, so how does that work? It doesn’t.

Now you must use your brain. The creator of the universe should have the answer. How do you find him? To start, ask yourself some questions.

Which God always was? How does that God provide a real way to Heaven? What must I do? Which God provides specific instructions?

John 1: 1-3, in the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Acts 4:12, nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9, for by Grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast.

In these verses, all these questions are answered. If we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, that He suffered on the cross, died, was buried, and rose again, in order for us to be saved, all we have to do then is repent.

Be Happy

Hebrews 13:5, Let your conduct be without covetousness, be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

If you ask someone what they think contentment means, they will probably tell you it means you are satisfied with what you have. They are right to a point, but it is much more than that. There are many benefits connected with being content.

To be truly content is not putting up with things and calling it contentment, but really looking at your entire situation. You might call it count your blessings.

There was a time in history and in many places of the world where people did not have a place to live, or have food, or even have a regular meal. They would be very happy if that was not the case. Most of us in this country have a place to live that is relatively safe, and a variety of food to eat so that we hardly ever go to bed hungry.

1 Timothy 6:8, Having food and clothing with these we shall be content.

There are people who seem to have it all. If you really look at some of the people that you envy you can see the price, they must pay for what they have. Take an honest look to see the truth. No, it will not be different for you.

Some people that have plenty of money, in their pursuit of wealth or worldly things, sacrifice their family, their health, and their own enjoyment because they are so intent on getting more. Don’t forget, nothing is for nothing, everything has a price. If you put everything in perspective, you will find that the best life is a life of being happy with what you have. Notice I said being happy with, not just satisfied with. It must be in your heart as well as your mind.

If you trust in the Lord with all your heart and concentrate on Him instead of things you will have total peace in your heart and will be blessed beyond measure. One of the things a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that whatever you pursue with all your might is where your heart is.

Luke 12:15, And he said to them take heed and beware of covetousness for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.

If your treasure God, your family, all good things will come to you. You will have perfect peace and an abundance of blessings. God promised that, and we all know He is not a liar. Do yourself another big favor. Compare what you have to most people in the world, and it won’t take long if you’re totally honest, to see how well off you are compared to them. Whatever situation you currently find yourself in is probably much better than most people. You have probably experienced times in your life when your situation was not what you would call the best, and inevitably something happened to make it even worse.

When you are happy with what the Lord is giving you and you put Him number one in your life, and trust Him with everything, you’ll be amazed at how things just flow. It seems to me that God has a habit of waiting till you are content with what you have before He moves You On to the next step.

You have probably made many decisions in your life that didn’t quite work out right. They certainly didn’t make you happy or content. I suggest you think about trying something new. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and put all your cares on Him. The Lord wants you to be happy so take advantage of it. You’ll experience peace and contentment Beyond which you have ever imagined. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Isaiah 26:3, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You.

Speak It, Live It

Ephesians 4:29, Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

We have written about the power of words on several occasions. Most people do not realize just how true it is. When you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ your choice of words, is even more important.

I am not suggesting that people live in denial. What I am suggesting is to look at something through the eyes of faith.

Matthew 12: 37, for by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.

Our Heavenly Father God Almighty has a plan for each person on this Earth. He knew what each of us would do even before He created us. He also knew we would need a Savior, a Helper, and a guide, so he sent the Lord Jesus Christ to save us, and the Holy Spirit to guide and help us.

The Bible contains Almighty God’s words and instructions for salvation. Each person has a free will so they can read and believe or just ignore everything and perish.

Proverbs 18: 21, death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Each person is affected for good or evil, so God allows what goes on. The Lord God knew before He even created anything how everything would play out, it was part of His plan.

God does not pick favorites. Everyone has blessings available, but most people are not in a position to receive them, mostly because they have never been taught, or thought about investigating.

satan is in this world and his plan is for as many people as possible to be deceived and spend eternity with him.

Exodus 20:7, you shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. When We complain about anything two things happen. We are telling almighty God that He is doing a bad job and at the same time we are following satan. When you really know the Lord Jesus Christ having faith grows and blessings and miracles happen. Choose friends and words wisely. 

Exodus 16: 8, and Moses said this shall be seen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening and in the morning bread to the full, for the Lord hears your complaints which you make against him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.

Jesus Instructions To Believers

Matthew 28:18-20, And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, all authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on earth, go therefore and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo I Am With You Always even to the end of the age amen.

It seems that the majority of preachers and even some denominations think that when the Lord Jesus Christ worked miracles it was just for that time and place.

The Bible gives us many verses that teach otherwise. When the Lord Jesus Christ was going back to Heaven, he told His close followers that they will do what He did and more.

John 14: 12-14, most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me the works that I do, he will do also, and greater works than these he will do because I go to my Father and whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name I will do it.

Since the Lord Jesus Christ didn’t put a time limit doing what He did I believe what He said still stands.

For one thing God does not change to fit the times. His word the Bible does not change. Since the entire Bible is in the words of God and we cannot change it by a jot or tittle we must believe everything it says.

Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever.

We cannot pick and choose what we believe even though various teachers and even an entire denomination have literally adulterated the Bible . They cannot accept what was written so the changes, made are passed off as what God really meant, or the Bible is no longer relevant. Both reasons are ridiculous.

 A few things to think about. What are you going to believe? Are you willing to spend eternity with satan? If you believe, and you are trusting Jesus, and you die and find out there is no Heaven, you lost nothing. If you don’t believe and there is a Heaven you lose everything. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the way, the truth, and the life to come. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Holy Communion Is Important

John 6:53-58, Then Jesus said to them, most assuredly I say to you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed, he who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me and in him. As the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from Heaven-not as your father’s ate the mama and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.

It is sad to say but there are some churches that pay very little attention to Holy Communion. The ones that do offer Holy Communion once a month. If pastors think so little of such an important Act of Faith, where does that leave the flock?

As our opening verses tell us what the Lord Jesus Christ thought of what we call Holy Communion, how can anyone who claims to follow the Lord Jesus Christ justify not taking communion regularly?

1 Corinthians 11:26-29, for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Therefore, whoever eats this bread and drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let him in examine himself, and so let him eat the bread and drink of the cup. Where he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner, drinks judgment on himself not discerning the Lord’s body.

Okay we see how we are to approach Holy Communion with deep respect for what it represents. Almighty God knows our hearts in all things. He knows the attitudes people have in general and that most people are not aware of its significance, because they were never taught.

My wife and I have prayer time, the Bible, and Holy Communion every morning by ourselves. It is too important to partake once a month. Many people do not believe you can do communion by yourself, but when it is the only thing open to you I believe the Lord understands. 

John 8:12, And then Jesus spoke to them again saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of Life.

Defeating satan

1 Peter 5:8, Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

The growth of evil in the world reminds me of the story of the frog in a pot of water. The temperature of the water was raised over time, so the Frog did not realize he was being cooked.

satan has deceived the minds of many over time. We are so accustomed to what is going on, most of us don’t realize we are heading for destruction physically, and some spiritually also.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose Minds the God of this age has blinded, who do not believe, the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God should shine on them.

Followers of our Lord Jesus Christ can make a difference and change the world one person at a time. Sincere prayer will always be heard by Almighty God, and he will answer those prayers.

James 4:7, Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

satan is always looking for thoughts and actions that he can magnify in a person so that the person or persons become so discouraged that they give up and follow sinful ways. His whole purpose is to separate people from God.

satan’s favorite tool is to take our negative words or actions and use them against us. There have been many books written about the power of words for good or evil.

satan cannot read your mind. If you don’t say it, he can’t use it. The best thing you can do is to ask the Lord Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit to help you in your thoughts and actions.

We cannot fight satan on our own. Our Father God knows everything about us. He loves us more than we realize and will be our ally if we ask Him.  The main reason of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to be our guide, helper, and in a way protector against satan. In order for us to know just what we can and can’t do we must be familiar with God’s word.

Romans 16:20, And the God of Peace will crush satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you Amen.

There Is Always Hope

1 Peter 1:3, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant Mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In the world of today, many people are afraid of the future, and of dying. It makes sense that if a person thinks he understands that he may need to take a look at his own situation, and the life they have lived.

You may doubt that Almighty God will forgive your unbelief, and many of the things you did that have come back to haunt you. Don’t give up but take Hope by what other people did.

Romans 5:5, now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

We have to go no further back than the time of the Lord Jesus Christ. Take Mary Magdalene. The Lord Jesus Christ cast seven demons from her. She became one of the most loyal followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a constant witness to our Lord.

 Mary Magdalene was present at the crucifixion. She was the first to see the empty tomb and the resurrection. She is one of the great Heroes of the Bible.

Then of course we have the apostles themselves. They were with our Lord every day for over three years. They heard all His teachings, and witnessed all of His miracles, and they still had doubts.

 After Jesus fed the 5,000, why couldn’t they figure out that when another crowd of 4,000 was listening to the Lord preach how they were going to be fed. How many people would have to be raised from the dead for them to believe? Our Lord mentioned  little faith many times.

With the resurrection and the receiving of the Holy Spirit, they became such true believers, that they taught people everywhere. They became so convinced that the Lord Jesus was God, they were willing to die for that belief.

We may be the way these people were in the beginning but look how it ended. We will not have an illustrious history, but we can still honor the Lord Jesus Christ by trusting in Him. We not only show our faith, but we are praising Him and what He did at the same time. 

Romans 15:13, may the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Unrealized Blessings

Philippians 4:19, and my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

It is all too common to hear people complain about all sorts of things. Usually, the complaint is about some kind of lack in the person’s life. Many blame God for not providing their wants.

I must admit that when I was young, God was not a part of my life. I complained just like everyone else, but I didn’t blame God. The reason I didn’t blame God is, I really didn’t acknowledge Him in my life.

James 1:17, every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

When I was young I had all kinds of experiences. I hate to admit it but my moral compass was not always functioning correctly. There were even a couple of times when I got stupid and almost got killed.

In October of 1972 I was coming home from work on a very dark, cloudy day. I had some problems, and I was feeling desperate. I heard myself saying: God if you are real show me.

At that instant I saw the brightest light shining in my face that I ever saw in my life. If you ever had an eye doctor shine his light in your eye, my light was so much brighter. I still sob when I think about this, because it changed my life, and led to making God number one in my life.

The point I’m trying to make is this. Almighty God loves us so much that He showers us with blessings even when we fail or do not even acknowledge Him. His love is beyond understanding, and He is always quick to forgive even the worst sinner.

Today I realized something I never thought about. I am trying to control my weight within a certain range. If that is all I am concerned about, I must be blessed beyond measure. Blessings are like that, you don’t even realize most of them.

List your needs and list your wants. What is at the top of your list. If you list Our Father God, the Lord Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit, you’re on the right track. If they aren’t at the top of your list; it would be a very good idea to start reading the Bible and talking to the Lord.

Keep this in mind. God loves you more than you can possibly imagine. Love is the key to receiving all the blessings God has waiting for you and me. Every day there’s more blessing added to God’s magnificent storehouse for us. Don’t miss out on any of them, so start talking to the Lord, and believe. God bless you and your family. Getting It Done

Ephesians 6:12, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the Heavenly places.

It is a time in the history of man that evil of all sorts has taken over the whole world. The Bible tells us there will come a time that it will get so bad, people will look for someone to rule the world and hope things will get better. They won’t.

Because satan is responsible for all of evil, and he has deceived many people into thinking that things are just fine. So many are blinded by the lies, and deceptions by politicians and the media, that hearing any truth seems impossible.

Isaiah 5: 20-21, to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight.

If a leader emerges, regardless of who it is, the opposition is so big, and so evil, that this leader will be overwhelmed, and go along with the evil, and make it even worse. .

Don’t forget what the Book of Revelation says about the end times. It is very clear that Almighty God will close the book on this Earth.

Life is a test. The Creator gave man a free will. Since God cannot nullify his word he gave us a book of instructions, called the Bible. Each person chooses where they spend eternity. God does not choose where each of us goes. 

The key to a good outcome is not looking to man, it is looking to Almighty God.

Psalm 34:19-22, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

This life is very short no matter how long you live. The Bible tells us how to live a productive, fulfilling life, and an eternity with Almighty God Himself. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Not The Time

2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sins and heal their land.

We live in a world that leads many people to give up. Some will tell you they have no hope for the future, and all is lost. Then you have the ones who think that the only thing to do is elect new leaders who can get us out of this mess, even though we got where we are from the last leader we picked.

If you have ever read the Old Testament especially, you will see that every time man tried to do something on his own, he messed it up.  Why do you suppose he messed it up? The answer is simple. satan is always at work undermining our efforts because we are no match for him.

In the Old Testament we see dozens of examples of the people sinning by following their own way of living. God punished them severely, and they finally repented, and Almighty God forgave them. 

Even the great David learned the hard way. He found out that if he asked God first, and waited for an answer, he was successful. There is a real lesson for us. We can avoid a lot of pain, and please Almighty God at the same time.

1 Peter 5:6-7, And therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.

The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over, and expect a different outcome.  Humanity has been doing the same things over and over for thousands of years. They say we should learn from history, but it seems nobody ever does. The history in the Bible is more vital than human history because the Bible tells us the correct way to do it the first time. 

No man can turn this country or this world around. Evil is holding all the cards, and satan is using total war on everyone and everything.

The only way for good people to win, is through Almighty God. The reason most people do not accept that truth is, they have been blinded by sin. They don’t believe what they can’t see or touch.

The simple fact is, we are at a point where there is no turning back if we don’t turn to God. It should not be a one-time thing, but something we always choose to do because Almighty God is pleased, and we are rewarded by a life of being a winner.

We must realize that we must pray every day and believe, if we are to conquer the problems. It really is the only way. satan and all his allies are no match for Almighty God. It is time to pick up our britches and do what needs to be done and that is to confess our sins and ask for forgiveness and put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you and your family. Prayer Is Serious

Philippians 4: 6-7, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Prayer is something most people are not sure of. There are many reasons people have trouble accepting the efficacy of Prayer.  One important fact to remember is that everything already exists. The problem for most of us is that although prayers are already answered in Heaven, we must get them to the natural world. How do we do that?

When you pray, there are no magic words, or special words, or whether you kneel, stand, or sit. You must believe who almighty God is, how much He loves you, and how He fits into your life. Once you realize the truth of how God feels about you the rest is fairly easy. The only problem some of us have had is that we don’t know how God feels about us, because we are not familiar with His word, the Bible.

Matthew 6: 7, and when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do, for they think they will be heard by their many words.

The reason most people do not believe their prayers are answered is because they didn’t get what they were expecting the answer to be. The fact is the Lord God Almighty loves us so much, that when He answers prayers it’s usually much more than we asked for and much better.

Believe it or not, another problem a lot of people have, and I’ve experienced this myself, we pray for something and then we forget about it. We get caught up in our daily lives, the answer comes, and we’re too busy to even notice it.

John 15:7,  if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

People sometimes start to lose hope, because the answer was not instantaneous. As when Jesus was on this Earth, He preferred to use natural means to supply the answers. Of course, He didn’t have to, but He did. Jesus always performed miracles with someone’s participation. That participation was an example of the person having faith in the outcome.

If you remember stories like the cripple, Jesus told him to stand up and walk. In Cana at the wedding, water turned into wine as it was poured. And so, it goes with all the Miracles. The important thing to remember about prayer is that when you pray, believe you already have what you prayed for. Remember it’s a question of bringing the answer from Heaven to Earth.

Mark 11: 24, therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Prayer of Salvation.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Your blood washed away all my sins, by your stripes I was healed, your death and Resurrection brought me salvation. Please forgive my sins and come into my heart as my personal savior. Amen.
