Practical Reasons For The Bible

It Is Written, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
 Many people avoid the Bible, for as many reasons as there are people. This is really unfortunate, because they don't have a clue as to what they are missing.The same people who say they have no time, spend plenty of time pursuing things that have no value to them, and do not improve their lives.
The Bible is difficult for many people to understand most of the time, because they have an old version like the King James. There are so many translations out today, that are so simple, that literally a child can understand. They are written in plain everyday English that we all use.  Some examples are, the amplified Bible, the message, the NLT version ( the new living translation ).
After spending many years in a lifetime without direction, many people finally come to the Bible. With even a little effort it will change their lives for the better. The amazing thing with God is, it is never too late.
Whether you are young or old, the Bible will change your life. It is packed with the wisdom of God, for a great life. Study the words, starting with Proverbs, or Ecclesiastes. Follow the principles outlined, and your life will turn for the best that God has to offer. It is by reading His Word that you find out what His plan for your life is and what He expects out of you and me. It sure beats all of the so-called, self-help books, written by so-called experts. The Bible is the ultimate self-help book, written by God Himself..

World of Choices

Romans 8:6-8

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

John 15:16

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the father in my name He may give you.

Life is like a game. In this game, each player is on his own. Most people don't even realize what the prize is, or its value.

If you play football for example, or you play chess, sooner or later you realize it is almost impossible to win if you're on the defense all of the time. Winners of attack, attack, attack.

As the average person goes through his day, whether he realizes it or not, he is reacting to circumstances that surround him. He is constantly playing defense in a world that is increasingly aggressive.

I found out when I was very young, that if you follow everyone else, you'll end up like they are. If you choose the right people, you can learn a lot, and make choices that will give you a good life. The big problem for most people is, that doing the wrong road is easy, the right thing is very hard most of the time.

God gave us a free will in order to make our own choices. Here is an important one for instance. Most of the world hates and rejects Jesus. No one ever says why. A good thing to do is investigate God. Read about Him, talk to Him, and those who know Him. Have the courage to get the truth, then make your choice. Almighty God gave that right to you. Lead, don't follow others who don't know where they are going or what they are doing, and where they will end up. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Which Reality

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.

There is no need to tell you that we are going through some very hard times. Fear, stress, depression, has overcome many. Even believers in the Lord Jesus,  have moments of doubt.

The other morning, when I was having my private time with the Lord, I was feeling kind of at a loss. I don't mean loss of salvation, but more like discouraged, with the way things are in general in this world. I asked the Holy Spirit to help me, because I know He never lets me down and the answer would be coming.

Well guess what. About 10 seconds later, I got my answer. He asked me which reality I was living. He knew, but He wanted me to think about it.  He explained.

Reality number one. We are living in a world run by satan. That world is filled with rejection of God, hate, lies, corruption, and all kinds of evil. It seems that people in influential positions, are encouraging everyone to spit in God's eye. Truth and justice are non-existent. It seems that most people have their own version of truth.

Reality number two. In God's world, it is sometimes a little hard to live by His ideals because it is spiritual. God's world is full of love, blessings, truth, and knowledge of how much God loves us and takes care of us. When we know Jesus as our Savior we have heaven to look forward to. Incidentally when we look through spiritual eyes, we see what God sees. There are still many people in this world who believe and trust in God. We all receive His blessings, guidance and help through the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit further reminded me that this earth is temporary,  but the spiritual world is forever. Both are reality. Which will you choose?
Deuteronomy 30:15
See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.

Eternal Life

Galatians 6:8

for he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

The subject of eternal life is by its nature, very difficult for most people to think about. Many avoid it  because of fear of death, and the fact that they don't know if there is an afterlife, and if there is, where are they going. It is hard for some people to accept that they are mortal, and there is no escaping eternity.

Another outlook is one of total denial. Many people think that hell does not exist, and that everyone will go to heaven. They choose to remain totally ignorant, or in denial about Jesus, because He is a hindrance to their lifestyle. Since they  convince themselves that Jesus is that hindrance, they also convince themselves there is no consequence, therefore hell does not exist.

Then of course you have people that believe and say that God would not send anyone to hell, because He loves everybody. It's pretty interesting that they say that about a God they don't even know. If they did know Him they would know how wrong they are because it is written in the Bible, which just happens to be the Word of God.

Maybe one of the biggest problems  about eternity is the whole idea of it being forever, We as humans have no idea of what that means, because we have nothing to compare it to. Forever just boggles the brain, because most people are afraid of the unknown.

Well the whole point is, you have a choice. Jesus gave you that choice. Follow Him, forget your ways, and end up in a glorious place forever. You can know that now if you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. There is nothing to fear, if you are on the right side of the question. Have a blessed day. Praise the Lord!

Did Jesus Die For Nothing

It Is Written, John 14:26, but the helper, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
When Adam and Eve sinned, man was doomed, and relinquished his God-given authority over His creation, to satan.
God knew that sinful man, cannot redeem himself, but needed a Redeemer. The only possible Redeemer was the son of God, Jesus.
Jesus came to this earth on a mission of love, mercy, and redemption. He took on the sins of the whole world to Himself. Jesus death and resurrection, forgave all sins for all times, to all who repent. Salvation was now possible.
At His Ascension, He told the apostles that He would send His Holy Spirit to teach, guide, and help all who came to Him. Jesus did all of that for us, so now we must do our part. The Bible tells us how to do that, and the Holy Spirit teaches, guides, and helps, all who listen.
 Since Jesus died for each of us, it is each of our responsibility to follow Him. If we stray from the teachings of the Bible and the Holy Spirit, Jesus death was for nothing. The good news is that His sacrifice was so powerful, that we will be forgiven by repenting and coming back to Him. There is no limit to His love and forgiveness. God bless you and your family. Uncertainty Of Life

Ecclesiastes 2:11

Then I looked on all the work that my hands had done and on the labor in which I would; and indeed all was vanity and grasping for when there was no profit under the sun.

Did you ever just relax empty your mind, and just let it wander?  It is truly amazing to come to the realization that you can beat the system.

Maybe someone you know walks in fear, and worries about everything. This type of person never seems to enjoy life because he lives in a fantasy future. By living in a fantasy future, he is trying to somehow put what is going on in his life in the past.

Think about this. Suppose you have a dentist appointment in two weeks. You can worry yourself sick by imagining every single thing that can possibly go wrong, and even some things that are so far out that it is basically impossible.

Now for the truth. The dentist visit will take about an hour. If this person spends 14 days, 24 hours each day, being controlled by fear and worry he is destroying those 14 days. The poor guy cannot get a good nights sleep because his mind is going all the time.

Remember this, everything has an end, the good and the bad. None of us know when you do something for the last time. I am not talking about death As an example suppose you like to play golf. If you knew you would never play again, would you make the most of it?

The fact is my friends, you will never know when you did something for the last time, until at some point in the future, you realize that fact. Whenever you do anything, put your whole self into it, without fear, and enjoy it, because you may never do it again. Someone once said, live each day as though it were your last, because some day it will be.

In order to get it right, and beat the system, at the same time, you have to give up fear, and uncertainty, and go to the truth. In the world we live in, the only source of truth is God's Word, the Bible. Every morning, give your day to Jesus. Thank Him for giving you another day. Live it like it is your last. Trust in Him to give you peace. You may not realize it, when you fear anything, you're putting your faith in satan. I say that because when you fear, you are believing in what he is telling you.

When you accept Jesus as your Savior, He accepts you as part of His family.He takes care of everything you trust Him with.You no longer have to be in the trap that most people are in, you can beat the system.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.

A Possible Bright Spot

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people were called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

After living on this earth many, many years, I sometimes remember when I was much younger. Many people call it the good old days. I will try to make an honest comparison with today, just the facts, and nothing but the facts.

When I was in high school, the number one crime committed by a student was smoking tobacco.  If a person was real delinquent, he drank beer behind the school, or in a secluded spot outside of school.

If a girl or woman got pregnant and was not married, it was a disgrace that stuck with her for life.  If she was foolish enough to get an abortion, she literally took her life in her own hands. Abortion was illegal, and performed by people who were more like butchers.

Homosexuality was not only illegal, it was a disgrace. Transgender people were pretty much unknown, and there was no such thing as gay marriage. Marriage was between a man and a woman. No one questioned their gender.

The media and regular people, couldn't help but lie, so we were taught that you can't believe what you hear or read.  Today it is mostly hate, and fear that you see and hear. The goal seems to be to destroy other people in every way, and if possible destroy the country. I guess you can see what I am getting at. The country and the world keep looking for and finding ways to reject Jesus and slap Him in the face.

Now for the possible bright spot. If enough good people get sick and tired of all this evil, they will start and stay with our opening verse until it happens.one last thing whether people believe in God, heaven, or hell, it is what God thinks that counts. We are warned in the Bible, he who has ears let him hear, he who has eyes, let him see.. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

The Good Neighbor

Luke 10:27

So He answered and said, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.

The story about the good Samaritan is usually considered just a story. Could it really happen? What I am about to tell you is real. You decide, if I'm right or not.

During the last few years, I had bypass surgery, a heart valve replacement, and one half of my liver removed because of cancer. With all of this, I haven't been able to do much physical work outside.

Since my heart surgeries, snow removal is forbidden by my doctor . We have had quite a few snow days this past winter. Tough situation right? Wrong. The Lord provided my own good Samaritans in the form of a few neighbors. These people have never failed to take care of my snow.

While I was unable to do yard work during these last few years, My yard has become a real mess. There was a large amount of storm damage to top it off. I faced a real dilemma. Approximately $12,000 to have it done, or just let it get worse. I could not do the vast majority of the work, and since I am on social security I could not afford to have it done.

You guessed it. The Lord sent me new Samaritans in the form of my next-door neighbors. They've been my neighbors for 16 years. They are much younger than we are. We say hi when we see each other, that's about all. The woman cleaned up leaves by our yard. She also did a little yard work. All of this without a word.

The other day the man saw me and we started talking We casually talked about my yard. He asked if I needed dirt. He said he was putting in a play area for his daughters, and he would have plenty to give me, and he wouldn't have to haul it away.He made it sound like I was doing him a favor.

The story doesn't end there. We were not even aware that he was bringing dirt over to me, but he and his wife were repairing storm damage that would've been expensive to have done. They weren't even seeking recognition, just being good neighbors.

The lesson through all of this is simple to anyone who has eyes to see. All of these Samaritans as I call them, are acting like real Christians should. You can't tell who the Samaritans are until you have a real need. This series of events really showed me that you and I can be Samaritans to someone else. It makes God happy, and blesses us. All I can say is, God does provide for all of our needs. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Spirit to Spirit

Psalm 149:4

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people. He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Yesterday, a close relative was given only a couple of hours to live. She was in a hospital, in a coma. In times like that it is natural for family members to worry about whether or not that person is right with God. They usually speak loving words to that person hoping that they hear. Many doctors including the one in this case cited a serious doubt that anyone in a coma hears or understands anything.

I wasn't at the hospital last night, but thoughts ran through my head, and I received a revelation in my spirit. We know that God's thoughts and ways are not what the world thinks or does. Most people see the carnal side so they think carnally. They do not realize how much God loves us, and wants us to be with Him.

We are all spirits, just like God is a spirit. He created us in His image, and since He is a spirit, so are we. We walk around in a body just like Jesus did. Stay with me here. What I say now, is not biblical, but it is a revelation from my spirit, and as a result I believe it. I'll tell you why. The body has a brain. The brain usually wants to follow the world, because the body is temporary. satan tries to control the brain in order to get the body to sin. As a defense against the Word of God, satan plants fear and doubt in the brain. The spirit tries to get the brain to stop doing bad and to do good instead. If the brain continues on ignoring the spirit, the spirit gets quieter and quieter until it is not heard.

Now for the good part. Our spirit is one with God and all other believing spirits. Since that is the case, we can cut out the middleman, the brain. When a person is in a coma for instance, they are still alive because the spirit is still present. At that point your spirit can talk to their spirit. You don't even have to pray out loud or even be there. Distance does not affect spirits

I rebuked satan and any evil spirits that may have been present in her in the name of Jesus, and told them they are to leave immediately, and do not interfere in any way. Then I address her spirit by saying spirit of-----in Jesus name, hear this. Jesus loves you and wants you with him. Confess all your sins, and accept Jesus Christ as Savior, right now, and be saved.

The revelation I got, is that spirit talking to the spirit will get the job done. If you have unbelieving children, friends that don't want to hear about Jesus, even someone in an ambulance that goes by, just use your spirit to talk to their spirits about salvation, and then believe that it's done. Don't forget God looks at the heart.

Intercessory prayer is the most powerful type of prayer there is. It seems to me that if that is the case, and it is, praying spirit to spirit is even more powerful. God Himself said that He is a spirit and we must pray to Him in spirit. To have total peace in your heart and never worry about a loved one again, just let your spirit do all the praying to their spirit and just relax. God loves you and God loves them. The spirit wants to get back to Him, so don't pay any attention to what anyone else says or thinks. Pay attention to what God thinks, and follow your heart. Have a blessed life, praise the Lord!

The Presence of God

Psalm 16:11, you will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand are pleasures for evermore.

Do you feel far from God, Jesus, Holy Spirit? Are your prayers being answered? Are you feeling that life is crushing you?

The answer is simple. God is not far from you, you may be far from Him. You do not know Him on a personal level. If you are saved, you should know that Jesus is in you all of the time. Spend some time in the Bible, maybe Psalms to start with. You will see where you are, and where God is.

Let me ask you this. If you knew someone, who acknowledged your existence only when they desperately needed help, what kind of relationship would that be?

God is our Creator, not our servant. He knows the littlest thing about us, what do we know about Him? He knows us, but loves us anyway. If we really knew Him, we would love Him. Talk to Him during the day and listen for His voice. After a while, you'll hear His voice in your heart, you'll also hear His voice from the Bible.

The closer we get to God, and know Him, the stronger our relationship with Him will be. We will be able to hear His voice, and follow His plan, because His plan is better than one we could come up with. Over time you will find that your decisions are much better. In the things that you did wrong perhaps you weren't listening. So do yourself a giant favor, get to know our Savior Jesus Christ. After all, we should not act on what we don't know. Faith And Works

Every Christian should know by now, that works alone will not save anyone. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast.

You may well ask, if that is true ( and it is ) . Where do works come in. Are they really worthless? Certainly not. Let us look at the facts. Faith and works are partners. While it is true that we are saved by faith, we have another responsibility.

James 2:14, what does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? Verse 17 says, the also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Verse 20 says, but do you want to know, O foolish man that faith without works is dead? Verse 24 says you see  then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.And finally verse 26, for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also

So what do we get out of all this? It really isn't hard to figure out, that faith is the first step to being a real Christian. Matthew 5:16, let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. Luke 11: 33, no one, when he has lit a  lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lamp stand, that those who come in may see the light. Mark 4:21, also he said to them, is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it not to be set on a lamp stand?

These words are Jesus words. We are to reflect Jesus light in this dark world. We can only do that if we follow His example. Remember this. satan knows the Bible, so following Jesus takes a lot more than that. It should be obvious by now, that when we are saved, we are reflecting Jesus light to the world, by living a life of good works just the way Jesus did. God bless you and your family. A Life Lesson

Only God can see the future. The future follows His perfect plan, which He had from before creation. If we follow the plan, we win. We end up in heaven with Jesus for eternity. It's that simple. There is a catch however, it can be hard.

For a long time now, my wife and I have started our day, by asking the Holy Spirit for help and guidance during the day. That help to include everything we think, say, or do, so that we would be following God's plan. What we didn't realize was, that was just the beginning.

Matthew 6:34, this therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:27, which of you by worrying can add one qubit to his stature?

It's Okay, just those words of wisdom when taken to heart take many stressful day's out of our lives. We could always count on the Holy Spirit, because He never lets us down. Knowing all of these facts, we added one more thing to our family prayer. After we dedicate our day to God, we thank Him and praise Him for the day that was yet to start. In doing so we feel that we are exercising total faith and trust in God. We found out a long time ago, when we put everything in the Lord's hands, we never get disappointed. Fear, Panic, Or Not

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

As most people know by now, the world is in crisis. Fear and panic seems to be the order of the day for most people. Comfortable lives have been turned upside down, and people who thought they were in control and secure, had an awakening they never expected.

Events like we are experiencing brings out the best and worst in people. The majority of people unfortunately care only about themselves. They hoard, cheat, or steel, whatever they think they need, with no regard for others needs.

Fear and panic created many problems. Stock markets go down, and life savings evaporate. Thousands of jobs are lost,businesses are closed, and people are ruined. Leaders make bad decisions that are influenced by their own fear, or by pressure from others.

The truth is, if people and governments would turn to God, none of this would happen. What I mean by that is people would be led to do the right thing. I repeat, none of this had to happen. Companies that were doing business didn't change, greed and fear caused financial panic. Rejection of God opened the door for the devil. Get the idea?

Stores were being restocked as usual, but hoarding, and panic buying created shortages. This in turn caused even more shortages. People lost all, common sense. The world displays what happens when people reject God. When people know God and trust Him, their hearts are at peace, and they make good decisions.

 How would the world be if all of our leaders knew God, and followed the Bible? I guess you could say that would be heaven, and we are not there yet. It is up to believers to pray for this world, and our fellow citizens,and beg God for forgiveness so that this whole catastrophe will come to an end by the will of God and His mercy.
