The Devils Plan

1Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Have you ever started your day feeling really good, because everything seemed to be going so good for you? Did it stay that way, or did it seem to fall apart? Most if not all people have had that experience, many times. What happened?

What happened was, satan started to work. He wants people to suffer as much as possible. He may start out slowly to see who he is dealing with. If he sees that he is getting to you, he will turn up the pressure and keep turning it up.

His goal is to keep your mind from turning to God, so he works on your mind to make it exaggerate the situation. His goal is to make you feel helpless and hopeless. He wants to divert your attention from God, and for you to blame God.

Another trick satan has is to take something like a porno movie and tell you there is nothing wrong with watching it because it’s better than committing adultery. In God’s mind it is adultery, and it is probably fornication.

When you don’t do your job at your job and do other things of a personal nature, you are stealing time. Even if he tries to tell you it’s not stealing, in God’s eyes it is.

When you look down on other people for whatever reason, it is because satan is trying to make you commit the sin of pride. No matter how much he tells you it isn’t pride, God sees it differently.

James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

So, you see he is one tricky character. If you have a relationship with Jesus, you also have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will warn you if satan attempts to make you sin if you listen for His voice. He will help you to resist and rebuke satan in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Our Savior.

When you accept Jesus as Savior, and meditate on His word, you build a relationship. Strength of the relationship, and power over satan, depends on how well you know and love our Lord Jesus. When you know the word, you have all the tools to fight satan.

1 John 5:18-19, We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you

Prayer of Salvation

My Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.

Amen!

Praise The Lord!

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

We Are An Extension

John 13:12-14, Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

When our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was on the earth, He gave us hundreds of examples of how we should live. When our Lord was going back to His Father after His resurrection, He had to have a way for all future generations to learn and follow His teachings. The logical answer would be the apostles carry on. They did have some of that type of work when Jesus sent them out to teach in all the surrounding area.

2 Timothy 2:2, and what you have heard from Me through many witnesses and trust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.

Since the disciples would pass at some point, then what? Believers would take over and the teaching would go to succeeding generations. As long as there are born again Christians, the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will continue to bring people to Him.

Matthew 9:37-38, And then He said to His disciples, the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray for the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

From this verse we see that Jesus was referring to people, and the laborers were the ones that got picked to bring them in.

Isaiah 6: 8,  and also I heard the voice of the Lord saying: whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, here am I! Send me.

If you are called by God, you will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in your heart. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

God's Promises Sunday

A spirit

Genesis 1: 27, so God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him, male and female He created them.

A number of years ago, I took this verse to mean that since God is a Spirit, and I am created in His image, I must be a spirit too. I really got excited about that idea. I really didn’t know what that meant at that time though.

One day I was watching a well-known preacher at the time. He said we are all body, soul, and spirit. After listening for a couple of hours of teaching, I not only had confirmation of what I thought, but much more.

James 4:7, Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Mark 16:17-18, And these signs will follow those who believe in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents, and they drink anything deadly it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

Let’s take a quick look at something that can Inspire us. This may sound a little strange, but it is true, as I believe.

Everything happens in the spirit world. When we pray in the spirit, by asking the Holy Spirit to help us pray, we call down into the natural world what we are prompted to pray for.

At that point we as Spirits, working with the Holy Spirit, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, can do anything that Almighty God wills us to do. Nothing is impossible.

1 John 5: 4-6, you are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore, they speak as of the World, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; and he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

God Bless you and your Family.  Praise The Lord!

Pray For Someone

1 Timothy 2:1, Therefore I exhort first that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.

Most people feel sympathy for someone who is dealing with death of a loved one or has some kind of serious illness. That feeling comes from our Creator in order for us to have compassion for people.

Unfortunately, the judgment of people comes into play many times. We look at other situations such as someone dying from cancer and many times we don’t feel as much compassion because the general idea is it was a self-inflicted disease. The person knew better but they did something to cause it anyway.

A better way to look at so-called self-inflicted diseases is more a result of bad decisions based on little or no information. It is not our job to decide who deserves prayer or not.

As all of us know by now, all these bad decisions and so-called self-inflicted problems were caused by satan himself. This is not a cop-out or excuse for the bad decisions, it is a fact. It is easy to fall into those problems when you are far from God and satan has a chance to sneak in and lead you the wrong way.

As Christians we should look at other people with compassion, and not judgmentally. Remember, but for the grace of God, we would be in their place. Next time you see some unfortunate person, ask yourself what Jesus would do. If you can help, help. If that’s not possible, pray for them. It’s not a bad idea to pray for them anyway.

Over the years I’ve come to realize that praying for a specific individual in the form of a petition to Almighty God, is very effective prayer. When you write a petition to our Father it is a good idea to include a few verses from the Bible that back up what you are asking for, and what you stand on. Stand on the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and your prayer will be heard.

John 14: 13-14, whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

A practice I heard about a long time ago that sounded like a good idea to me, became a part of my prayer life. I sit by myself and I ask the Lord if there is anyone in particular I should pray for. At that point I wait and usually within minutes someone’s name comes to me, and I write it down in a journal along with the petition. It seems that seeing the writing and doing the writing makes everything come to life. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus Loves You.

1 Peter  3: 12, for the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

My Time With Jesus Tuesday

Almighty God Forgives Always

1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It is a sad fact that quite a few people carry a heavy burden of past sins. They are not convinced that God has forgiven them, because they cannot forgive themselves. If you are one of these people, stop beating yourself up. When Jesus died on the cross, all of our sins were forgiven, and would no longer be remembered, if we repent.

Ephesians 4:32,  be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

When God sent His son Jesus on a rescue mission to save man, He meant all who repent. God did not specify certain people, what kind of sin, or how many, or how often. The Forgiveness of sins and salvation for whoever accepted it, was part of the good news that Jesus preached. It was unconditional love from Jesus that made this possible.

You may not realize that carrying a sin burden that God has forgiven, is like saying that what Jesus did was not good enough. I don’t think any of us wants to be guilty of thinking that way. Confessing our sins is an acknowledgment that we realize we did something wrong. Our confession by itself, means absolutely nothing. True Confession required the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Just remember this, that no matter how bad you have been in the past, or how many years you were that way, if you repent from your heart, God forgave all those sins, and does not remember them, so you shouldn’t either. God Bless you and your Family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

God's Promises Sunday

A Spiritual Problem

Zephaniah 1: 17, I will bring distress upon men, and they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord; their blood shall be poured out like dust and their flesh like refuse.

Many people are excited about a new president and look forward to big changes that will bring some sanity back to our country. The simple truth is, no man or group of men can make any meaningful change in society. You may think that statement is negative and ridiculous. But is it?

1 Corinthians 2:14, but the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Let’s look at the state of our country. Truth is barely ever heard. Violence and corruption are everywhere. Bad is good, good is bad. Everything is upside down. and common sense does not exist.

When we look at the whole picture, we have to add abortion, transgender, gay marriage, and everything else that rejects God, and you end up with a spiritual problem that can only be fixed by a moral, God-fearing people.

It is time to reject evil in all of its forms and bring our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ back. God has been taken out of everything and has been replaced by satan.

2 Chronicles 7:14, If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

John 12:40, He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.

Well, my friends, you can believe these words or not but let me tell you that it does not change the facts. Whenever a people try so hard to eliminate and reject our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the power of God, disaster can be the only outcome. And man, especially when so many are evil, can only create chaos, conflict, end hardship on everyone.

The simple fact is if we reject God almighty, He will reject us. Denying this fact doesn’t change the truth. God bless you and your family.

Praise The Lord!

Can You Love Your Enemies

Matthew 5:43-48, You have heard that it was said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even tax collectors do so? Therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect.

How many times have we heard love your enemy? First, we must realize that we are not talking about love like we have for family. It can still be a hard thing to do in the human sense.

Romans 12:14, bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

We must take the emotion and pride out of the picture. Our Father Almighty God loves everyone with the same love. If God loves all of us, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died for all of us, how can we possibly go against that?

Luke 23:34, then Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.

It seems reasonable that we should be forgiven for what we do in ignorance if we repent. If we cannot forgive, our father will not forgive us. It is all part of loving our enemies.

Matthew 6:14-15, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7,Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

From all of these verses you have probably figured out that loving your enemy involves all kinds of things. How you treat them shows what you think. It all boils down to the old Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Remember Jesus loves you.

For our Salvation.
