The Goal, Eternal Life
John 3: 16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
The subject of eternal life is by its nature, very difficult for most people to think about. Many avoid it because of fear of death, and the fact that they don't know if there even is an afterlife, and if there is, where are they going.
It's hard for some people to accept the fact that they are mortal and have no escaping eternity. Another outlook is one of total denial. Many people think that hell does not exist, and that everyone will go to Heaven. They choose to remain totally ignorant, or in denial about Jesus, because He is a hindrance to their lifestyle.
People convince themselves Jesus is not real, so therefore there are no consequences for their actions, and hell does not exist.
John 5:24, Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes in Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life.
Then of course you have people that believe and say that God would not send anyone to hell, because He loves everybody. It's interesting that they say that about a God they don't even know. If they did know him, they would know how wrong they are because it is written in the Bible, which just happens to be the Word of God.
Romans 10: 13, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
One of the biggest problems about eternity is the whole idea of it being forever. We as humans have no idea of what that means, because we have nothing to compare it to. Forever, just boggles the brain, because most people are afraid of the unknown. I don't think anyone has a real good idea of what forever really means except that it is forever.
Well, my friends it comes right down to this. You have a choice. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave you that choice. Follow Him, forget your ways, end up in a glorious place forever. You can know that now if you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, there is nothing to fear, because you are on the right side of the question.
God Bless you and your family.
Prayer of Salvation.
My Lord Jesus Christ, I Thank you and Praise you for what you did on the cross for me. By your stripes I was healed and your blood washed away my sins. Your death and resurrection made my salvation possible. I confess my sins, and I ask you to come into my heart as my personal savior.
Amen!
Praise The Lord!
