Unlock Faith

It Is Written, Ephesians 2:8-9, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast.
This sounds like a simple statement, but it is hard for many people to do. If they don't read the Bible they really don't know how to accept that gift. Many people don't realize or believe in their hearts, that we are in fact, children of God. We don't take it literally. Some people actually believe that the whole Bible, is just a story.
A big part of the problem is, when we think about anything, we usually put it in the terms of human understanding. We need to start putting everything in God's terms, which means unlimited trust in the Word.
How would you describe how much God loves you? You can't. It would be easier to count the days that make up eternity. Totally impossible because if you could count the years, it wouldn't be eternity. We only see love in human terms not the unlimited, unconditional love that God has for us.
Okay. Since we now know how much God loves us, we can see what being His child means. As with all loving fathers, He will never let us down. He wants us to be happy and love Him back. He wants us to love our brothers and sisters, no matter how difficult it may be at times.
Miracles are performed in the name of Jesus, when loving true faith are present. So if you want to have prayers answered, start out by realizing you are a child of God, and act like it and love, and trust in Him to do what He says He will do. In case it may have slipped your mind, Jesus also was the son of God. God Bless You and Your Family
Praise The Lord!

Who Is Jesus?

It Is Written, John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.
From the verse of John 14:6, we see that Jesus is the only way to Heaven and the Father. Many people have heard of Jesus, but they have a problem believing the things that He did.
If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, it is not very difficult to believe what the Bible says. If you are not a believer, what could make someone change their mind and accept Jesus for who he really is, the Son of God.
Jesus miracles is most obvious. His teachings were about His Father, love, and salvation. He preached the same message to all who would listen. When it came to forgiveness and healing, He never turned  anyone away who came to Him. Jesus healed and love people even when He knew He would be condemned for it and they would be a screaming mob against Him.
Jesus paid the ultimate price willingly, in order for the sins of man to be forgiven, for anyone who would believe, even those who killed Him. He made salvation possible for all who would come to him.
John 15:13, greater love has no one than this, is someone who lay down his life for his friends.
Romans 5:8, but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Anyone with an open mind, and an open heart, would realize, that there is no one that ever lived that did what Jesus did. The things He did could only be done by the Son of God. You believe Jesus is the only way or not at your own peril. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Here for a Reason

It Is Written, Isaiah 43:7, everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, I have formed him, yes, I have made him.
If you are like most of us, at one time or another you probably asked that question many times. As a child I was taught that we were created to love and serve God that is true, but I believe it goes deeper.
In my own thoughts, I think about satan's rebellion. He followed his own path, and dishonored God, taking many others with him.
I believe God created man to be perfect, and to take care of His creation. God gave Adam perfect conditions. Adam and Eve were created specifically to expand the Garden of Eden, and help fulfill God's plan for all creation. When Adam and Eve failed, as God knew they would, God knew that man needed help to get back to Him.
God wanted to give His creation everything, and He wanted man to acknowledge Him as creator, and to love Him back. Since God knew however that by having free will that man would go against Him, He sent Jesus to save man, in order that man could be forgiven and come back to God.
God knew that for man to fulfill what God had planned for him, that man needed a plan to follow. Life is a test. I say it is a test, because we have free will, and we decide by our words and actions, whether we will follow God and what He wants us to do, or to follow satan and what we want to do. The result of this decision, is where we spend eternity. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

How God's Plan Works

It Is Written, Jeremiah 29:11, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
All believers realize that God said He has a plan for each of us. So why do so many people try to make their own plans? One of the reasons could be that they really don't understand the blessings that come with God's plan.
God's plan for each of us is a day by day even minute by minute plan. Philippians 4:19 says, and by God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus
God knows every little thing that will happen, so he guides you by speaking to your heart. Listening to his voice gives you the direction to go. An example someone once gave me made a lot of sense to me, but you must believe that God does speak to you. This person said that they do not get upset in traffic, because by being in traffic, they are missing a possible accident.
This may sound silly to some, but I believe it. There is a reason for everything God does or allows.  Once we realize it and trust in Him we will also realize that we will not miss out on any blessings if we follow God. Even when things seem to be going wrong, trusting in God to make it right is a good way to go. He knows we don't have the answers, even if we think we know better. It is a hard lesson for some of us to learn, but when we do, it fills our hearts with peace and joy. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!

Relationship with God

It Is Written, Revelation 3:20, behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
When someone says that you must study the Bible to have a better relationship with God, it sounds like hard work. You probably heard that you cannot earn God's favor, or blessings by your works, so what does that leave?
These statements seem to contradict each other, but do they? There is an answer that makes sense, if we examine these statements separately.
Studying the Bible does bring you closer to God, because you develop a relationship with God as you read and meditate, and really get to know Him rather than just about Him. As you study, you start to see who God really is. You get to know Him and His heart for His children.
Salvation, favor, grace, blessings, and all good things, come from God as a gift. They do not require you to purchase them with works. They cannot be bought, instead they are received by the grace of God.
Sometimes people do not understand that all believers have these gifts waiting for them. By studying the Bible, you learn about these gifts, and the only thing you have to do is to receive them. The Bible is a guide to everything, from our loving God. God bless you and your family.
 Praise the Lord!

Feelings; Good or Bad?

It Is Written, 2 Timothy 3:16, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
Feelings, is a word that describes several unconnected things. How we describe physical or mental situations by using the same word, is very unusual.
Let us start with the physical. If we have a pain or numbness in a foot for instance, we usually say we have no feeling in that foot, because numbness masks what we call normal feeling. We also use feeling to describe when we are ill, for instance I am not feeling good today.
The mental part of feelings is emotional. We say we love, are happy, angry, afraid etc. Emotions run our lives if we let them. When we love someone, we say we have feelings for them. We use the words feelings as kind of a blanket to cover whatever emotional thing we are going through at the time.
One more. When someone says something to you, or about you, that you do not like, you would probably say that they hurt your feelings. In this situation it is really pride that was hurt. Pride has destroyed or condemned  more people than anything else. God hates pride, His Word says so. Check the topic in a concordance and you may be surprised at how many verses you find. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

The Center

It Is Written, Matthew 16:26, for what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Today I have a question that almost never crosses most people's minds. It is simply this. What is the center of your life?
There is a fairly simple way to find out. At the end of your day, write down the three things you thought about the most during your day. Be honest about your answer's. Do this each night for one week, and really look at the results.
I say be completely honest, because they will tell the story of your present and future. I know this, because I discovered it in my own life.
It is common knowledge that the human brain and body respond to repetition. They develop memory, so that responses to situations are pretty automatic. This can be very good, or very bad. It all depends on what you focus on.
If Jesus is not number one, it would be a good idea to get Him there, because quality of life and eternity, depend on it.
Life is just a tiny part of a blink of your eye. Nothing in this life is real and lasting, so nothing is that important. Jesus is the only answer. Make Him number one, and He will take care of the rest. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Answers

It Is Written, Philippians 4:6 be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
At one time or another, we all have a tendency to get a little depressed because we think our prayers are not being answered. After reading countless books and hearing many CDs, I have reached the conclusion that the answer lies with me. Maybe it lies with you too.
Don't get discouraged or stop praying. I will use myself as an example, because I believe I'm a pretty typical Christian.
I like to use examples, because I believe it helps. If you are going to make a cake, or give your car a break job, would you just dive in? Would you know which parts will fit or which ingredients to use? How much? Would you be disappointed at the results?
In a way, prayers are like that. If you pray without reading the instruction book (the Bible), you probably won't get good results. The Bible tells you your responsibilities, and it tells you about God's promises. If you don't know what each party  is responsible for, how can you expect an answer?
When you read the Bible, you get to know God. When you really know how much He loves you, it is easier to trust Him. You find out that God always answers prayer. It may not be as fast as we want,  or may not be exactly what we're looking for, but there are answers.
Waiting produces patience, patience allows you to build faith. The clincher is faith produces answers. Just pray according to God's Word, which you will learn in the Bible, and nothing you pray for will go unanswered. God bless you and your family. Praise Lord!

What Blessings Mean

It Is Written, Philippians 4:19 and my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Ask most people if they are blessed, and the answer would probably be, "I guess so", or "I don't feel blessed".
The real answer lies in each person's heart. The answer depends on how you look at what blessings are, and if you know the promises of God, and how much He loves you.
Where a lot of people get it wrong is, they equate blessings with stuff. The more stuff you have, the more you are blessed. That is the wrong idea. Sometimes an overabundance can separate you from God, by replacing God in your heart.
Things we do every day, are taken for granted. The miracle of life itself, sight, hearing, health, all are accepted as facts of life, and most of us never thank God for these blessings.
One of the most unappreciated blessings, is Jesus and what He did for us. He died so we could live, by His stripes we were healed. He defeated satan for us, making eternal life with God possible.
If even one of these blessings that we enjoy was taken away, most of us would blame God. So why isn't it we are grateful for what we have or appreciate the creator who gave everything to us? God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Aggressive Prayer

It Is Written, Luke 18:1, then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray, and not lose heart.
What do we mean by aggressive prayer? First let me set the stage.
Suppose you inherited a large sum of money. The will was read, and you were told how much it is. You would probably expect to take home a check for that amount, after all the attorneys said it is yours.
Then you are told that there are a few odds and ends to clear up before the estate is dispersed. So you go home expecting the check to show up very soon.
Days go by with nothing happening, so you call the attorney, and there is still no answer. After a short while you would probably try to find out, how trustworthy and reliable the attorney is. You wouldn't stop calling until you got that check.
Prayer works much the same way. Does your prayer contain some element of doubt?. If so, realize that in the case of prayer, you know God cannot lie, and nothing is more reliable than His Word. So what would you do? Would you sit in the corner like a scared puppy, or would you keep reminding God about His promise, and stand on His Word.
Talk to God about your prayer, and thank Him even before you see it in the flesh.   Believe in it and wait. Your prayer is answered when you accept it in faith before you even see it. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Does God Really Forgive Us?

It Is Written,1 John 1:9, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Sometimes it is hard to believe that God really does forgive us. Whether you believe or not, is based on a couple of things. You must believe through faith that God hears you, no matter how you feel. Another is, that you must believe that God has unconditional love for everyone, and nothing is too horrible to forgive.
We should all realize that all of the above, hinges on our relationship with Jesus. The closer the relationship, the stronger the faith.
Another important factor to realize is, that because of our free will, forgiveness from God, does not mean there will be no consequences, even though we have been forgiven. The world we live in, does not forgive. It demands justice in one way or another.
Do not for one moment think that because we suffer consequences, that God hasn't forgiven us. If we want to avoid most of the unpleasantness, we must let the Holy Spirit guide our actions, rather than trusting in our own minds.
As our relationship with Jesus grows, so does our faith. When we reach that point, we can hear the Holy Spirit teaching and guiding us in our hearts. We might still mess up once in a while, but God is always there to forgive us, all we have to do is ask. God bless you and your family. Praise the Lord!

Finding God

It Is Written, Matthew 7:7, ask and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
It Is Written, Luke 11:9, and I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
How often have you heard someone say that they have tried to find God, and they had no luck? Could it be that God is not the one who is lost?
Finding God is not a big trick. Let me explain how to find Him with the following analogy.
Let us assume for the sake of this explanation, that you buy a new car. The car has all of the bells and whistles, and a few hidden goodies. This car also comes with an owners manual.
You don't have to be a genius to figure out how everything works and how to make the car last. It will last as  long as you want it to, with very few problems. As you learn the manual, your satisfaction with the car increases. You also know that if you don't follow the manual, and your car turns to junk, is it really the manufacturer's fault?
When we are born, there is a different kind of manual. It was written by our Creator, to show us step-by-step, how to get through life, by finding Him and His love for us. His owners manual cannot be changed or ignored either. It is our ticket to finding Him, a good life, and a glorious eternity. The more time you put into reading and following His manual, the better things will be. Ignore the manual at your own peril. God bless you and your family. Praise The Lord!
